Pros: See above.
Cons: Provide toothpicks for us elderly generation. Odd waiter asking for gratuity to be paid in cash instead of added to bill a little jarring.
Location: See above.
Nothing too much trouble for staff. Obviously very well run.

The InterContinental Sandton City is modern, clean, and the staff is incredible! The restaurant is a bit to be desired, but there are so many good and close-by alternatives. The fitness center was the best I've ever seen in a hotel!

Having stayed in many hotels in Johannesburg, I would definitely say the InterContinental Sandton Towers is a fantastic hotel. Great location. The proximity to Nelson Mandela Square and the Sandton Mall makes shopping very easy during your stay. The staff are so kind & very helpful.

Surely worthy of five stars, but if you compare the price with other hotels in the area, I have to say this was a little overpriced. Weak sauna facility as well.

Perfect business hotel in Sandton

Hotel was very pleasant but rooms need updating. Air conditioning didn't always work but was extremely noisy regardless of the setting. Staff were very friendly and the food excellent. Internet was a bit painful as you needed to constantly log in which became tedious especially when trying to connect multiple devices.

Sandton Stay

The stay was very nice. The breakfast room was always cold so bring long sleeves or a jacket when you eat. only once the turndown service turned the room down as if only one person was staying in the room when it was obvious there were 2 of us. The location to the mall was great and after a tour of johannesburg I'm glad we didn't stay in the center of town like we normally do. Taxies are all flat rate (no meter) so ask the price before getting in. after the exchange rate most items were about 10% less for the US $ which was nice.

Pros: Nespresso
Cons: buffet breakfast.
Location: Nice access to the mall.
was nice the first time I stayed there. last stay was just average and no longer worth the premium pricing. Restaurant menu is limited. Buffet breakfast was terrible - eggs served cold. Only good thing is the coffee service in the room - nespresso.
