Wonderful service from all staff but most especially from the manager. Very accommodating and friendly, great breakfast and comfortable room. Will happily visit again.

One not to be missed.
Amazing little guest house tucked away of a main thoroughfare and close to a great shopping mall. Welcome was friendly and informative and breakfast was delicious, we stayed two nights and would have been happy to stay longer, if we are ever back in Johannesburg we would definitely return. Rooms large and well appointed as was the spacious bathroom, as we stayed in winter, (July) the under floor heating in the bathroom was especially welcome. Great little find, well priced and very comfortable.

The property is in a quiet, secure area. The facilities are well maintained and pristine. What makes the place really special is the team led by Zodwa. All very friendly, professional, engaging and pay attention to detail. They have remained consistent over the years and remember your particular preferences and ensure you have the best stay possible.

Staff is extremely friendly. It felt sort of like a botanical haven with all of the plants and flowers, which we loved. The room was clean and in okay shape.

Lovely homestay kind of place
Very hospitable staff. They took a lot of pains to make us vegetarian food and made us feel at home. Chantel and Zodwa took good care of us and made us feel at home.

We stayed twice at this hotel/lodge and our experience was first class.All of the staff are very helpful and the management again first class. The rooms were very good ,breakfast excellent,good parking and wifi, You are minutes from Sandton. I would stay again and would recommend.

I couldn't have been happier with claires..extraor
This is my second stay at Claires. Both times I was so catered...felt like queen for a day. Lively setting with attention to details. Breakfast is sumptuous. I had much help with arranging tours and transport. Claire and her staff are wonderful people. This level of service and comfort is above most others. I plan to go back for another week.

Nice B&B in/near Sandton
A very cozy and extremely well maintained and well presented small hotel / B&B in the Sandton area. We stayed for one night and spent a day relaxing by the lovely pool after enjoying a very good breakfast from an unusually generous menu. Definitely recommendable.

What a GLORIOUS PLACE...
This was my first trip to South Africa and I was a woman travelling alone. I emailed Chantal prior to my visit to arrange transportation, weather, and other things...REsponse was fast and complete.On arrival, I was greeted in the evening time and oriented to my room. Everything during my stay was OUTSTANDING and I am an experienced world traveller. Tours were arranged for me, breakfast was leisurely and delicious, and the rooms were lovely and very clean. All the grounds were just amazing and so very relaxing ....not to mention safe. The neighborhood was very nice and you could walk to some nice restaurants and stores. I would recommend Claire's to everyone and consider you fortunate if you stay there.

Amazing
This is the most unusual yet great places I have ever stayed. When I first got there it is in a neighborhood so it seems like you are going to someone's house. Then after you go in it seems like a small apartment complex. Everything was amazing. The rooms are like small apartments with everything you would need. They are big and spacious. It is quiet and relaxing. The breakfast was amazing. I thought it was a small single owned B&B but the following day I saw a lot of staff and they each catered to your every need. I was very impressed by this hotel/B&B/guesthouse.

Claires of Sandton: luxury guest-house?
Yes, it's very luxurious and the service was superb! Nice pool, HDTV, WiFi, lovely gardens, upgraded rooms, and best made-to-order breakfast I've ever had in a B&B! Claire and her staff are very helpful, went beyond call-of-duty, just a 15 min walk to Pick-N-Pay huge supermarket with take-away foods and also full-service restaurant. I'll bring my wife along next time, she'll just love this place!!

My family and I spent 3 nights at Claires of Sandton last month (August). As first-time visitors to Joburg, we had been somewhat apprehensive about personal safety before our arrival. So it was a great relief to find Claires located on a safe, quiet street ... with a variety of eating places and other amenities within walking distance (I particularly recommend the Italian restaurant). Breakfast time was always a delight (Claire is an excellent chef and serves generous portions). The lovely birds feeding right outside the parlour window gave breakfast that extra-special touch. Claire and Zodwa really made us feel at home, always ready to offer suggestions if we asked (and never seemed daunted by our endless questions). The room itself was tastefully decorated with an African touch and the bathroom was a generous size, with both a shower and a bathtub -- always spotless cleaned. Unfortunately, we didn't get to use the pool as it was winter in SA, but it was set in a cosy garden. Thank you so much for making our first visit to South Africa so memorable!

Guesthouse that makes you feel at home
Staff very friendly and helpful, excellent breakfast, the room is clean and confortable. The guesthouse is located in a nice area of Johanesburg but there is no public transportation around. However, uber worked out pretty well for us.
