We stayed here on a long layover and between the comfortable beds and breakfast, it gave us everything we needed. The true highlight was the friendly staff, I’ve never had a more welcoming experience at a hotel.

Safe and comfortable stay in Joburg
I liked the bed a lot, very comfy. But I thought there would be shower gown, not to mention more of amenities like shampoo and conditioner. They only offer a small soap bar, body cleanser, lotion and a shower cap. Overall staffs were really kind, breakfast was also good (nothing special). Beautiful garden.

Airport pick up arranged in advance and we were picked up almost an hour later after i had to make a phone call. We were greeted by trainee at the hotel and she was absolutely fantastic ( I wish i remembered you name you beautiful young lady). Check out however was another issue. We had to leave early in the morning (driver showed up earlier then we were told at the time of our booking). First, they wanted to charge us for a drink we never had. It’s ok, people do make mistake but that person at the reception attitude was just wrong. After that issue was resolved, she said we need to pay taxes which we paid at the time of the booking. After that, we politely asked to get 2 croissants to go because we are going to miss our paid breakfast as tour guide messed up our pick up time. She said to wait another 5 min until restaurant is open. It was just one thing after another where it felt like she was vindictive and determined to get us somehow. She really ruined our day. I usually don’t bother with feedback but I had to express my disappointment in that person. I wish i remembered your name but I am sure your lovely manager will remember you and us as well. Otherwise hotel is amazing, location is superb.

The hotel has a very good steakhouse called the Bull Run. It serves excellent dishes. It was disappointing that no bottle water was provided in the room.

Breakfast was good. Location for Mandela square was good. Airport shuttle option was not very good. Was not communicated to call hotel in advance for pickup. Cost was very high and per person. Rental would have been much cheaper

Though I was initially inconvenienced by being put in rooms that had malfunctioning equipment, the hotel made up for it by giving me a complementary night. I certainly think highly of the service I was offered by the front office staff and management. I will give them another try when next I’m in Jhb. Paying for parking was another downside for me.

The staff was very pleasant and accommodating. The room was neat and housekeeping did great job when servicing our room. We were on the first floor, so it was a little bit noisy above us. I liked the location, lots of shops and restaurants near by. Would definitely stay again when visiting The Sandton area.

I had a very long check in experience… I had to change rooms twice before I got to the room I finally slept in. After complaining about the smell of smoke in that first room the staff tried everything to make my stay comfortable.
