Be careful...
Vetho 2 apartment is a very low quality hotel situated in a very unsafe location near the airport. We felt like we where in a prison as the doors and windows were fitted with metal grills and the rooms were stinking of damp. We could not sleep all night as there was irritating noise from the water motor outside our rooms. Room service did not exist until we were checking out and they warned us we would be charged hourly if we overstayed even half an hour. Driver warned us to close the windows and hide our purses and back packs under the seats whenever we left the hotel. There pickup and drop off charges are very expensive. Don't use their driver if you unfortunately book this hotel.

We stayed in a nice two bedroom apartment!
The apartment was great for our family. We have two boys - so it was great for us. The kitchen was a good size and even had a few pans and dishes which some places don't furnish.

The hotel was nice...but....
The hotel was nice, and staff were great. I was slightly mislead to believe there was a pool and wireless internet. No pool, and one must pay for Internet and it is very costly and ends quickly...find the local public pool and get a temporary sim for your mobile- The service team was very nice and the room was kept spotless. They treated us like family

Pleasant Stay
My stay at Vetho was great. The hotel staff was polite and helpful. Room/Apartment was clean, spacious and comfortable. It was very close to the airport which worked out great for me as I was in Johannesburg overnight for a layover. So much nicer than just paying for a room for a night. Great experience will be back and recommend to others if passing through Johannesburg.

cheap ok for one nigth,
The furniture was realt old, the kitchenware was not enogth( there were 4 of us and only set for 3) , 2 towels in the bathroom, some of the fitings in the batroom were neglegted, also lacked the minimun staff on the kitchen. The freezer part of the frdge wasnot defrozen in secveral years therefore was of very small. The picturs in the ad. do not reflect the room we were given, the furniture was old and not clean over all it was more 2 stars (going into 1) not 3 as stated on the ad. Of course this is base on the room that we did get on that day. the resto I am not able to say.

2 week stay for mission work. Rented 2 apts. Cleaned daily. Was limited in web access. Could be noisy at night. Felt safe. Kitchen minimally furnished but helped us safe on meals out. Got better deal through Hotels.com than directly at hotel site.

We arrived after 3pm - room was not ready yet , no other room available. cleaners still cleaning room. we had to leave the hotel by 4 pm was told to leave our luggage in reception aswell as room key as it is not allowed to leave the premises.. no coffee - sugar - tea - in room .

Great value for a bed to sleep on near the airport
No extras but we didn't want any. The place felt like a college dorm but, for the price, the best hotel value of our entire trip to Africa. There's a nice bakery nearby, the airport is a short short drive away, and the service at the hotel was cheerful and helpful. I can't imagine getting any more for my money.

Pretty good
We had a good stay at this place- the only issue was the lack of wifi. They said it was down due to a storm and charged a fee for use of their computer as well as a fee for use of wifi in the lobby. Other than that it was good!

Overall experience was great, beautiful rooms and designs. Friendly housekeeping staff and great location. Customer service could be better, the night front desk clerk when we checked in could have been more lively, welcoming and told us about the facilities since it was our first time. The morning clerk was worse. Rude and disrespectful. Im glad I got a chance to meet and tell the owner about my experience and treatment of the lady front desk clerk. She definitely made up for her staff.

I enjoyed my stay and will make use of your facilities again. Just one thing - we asked for a unit for 4 people but there were only towels for three. I know we did not asked for more towels but one comes to expect that service. Maybe in future if towels are placed on the beds, this problem will be alleviated.Thanks

value for money!
the attraction for me was the rate for a 2 bed-apartment since i travelled with my wife, 2-yr old son and 2 brother-in-laws. since we did not have a car, the only down-side is the nearest gautrain stations was rhodesfield, which was quite easy to get to via commuter taxis but not so easy to get back to the hotel from rhodesfield gautrain station, so had to hire taxis a couple of times.i would highly recommend the hotels especially to families or group of friends looking for a reasonably decent place to stay at very reasonable rates. please get a car if you can and you will fully enjoy your stay at vetho.

My husband, adult son, and I stayed in a two-bedroom apartment the night we landed in Johannesburg and the night before we flew home. The facilities include a large common room, open kitchen, and bathroom with glassed-in shower. We stayed in room 103 and then room 101 (which seemed a little nicer). I think there were stairs next to room 101. People going up and down the stairs and moving chairs on the second floor and laughing kept us awake.

Surprisingly quiet
Probably not the best place to stay for your first time in Jo'burg, as it's not as easy to get to from the airport as Google Maps makes it seem. However it is surprisingly quiet given its location near O.R. Tambo - I don't think I heard a plane once over the two nights I was there. The ambience was a bit "bare bones" but it was clean and comfortable.

What a pleasant surprise. My family and I loved staying here. It would rate full 5 out of 5 if it had a pool, but since we only used the hotel to sleep, it suited our needs perfectly :). Clean, spacious, friendly staff, peaceful, neat, well kept garden. Simply just awesome.we're well-travelled and normally stay in hotels, but this self-catering unit was perfect. Thanks so much to the friendly staff too!

Proche aéroport
Idéalement placé à proximité de OR Tambo, hôtel sans prétention et sans charme qui offre le nécessaire à prix très raisonnable. Seul bémol, l'accès internet est payant et coûteux. Attention pour les frileux, comme dans bcp d'endroit en AFS, les chambres ne sont pas chauffées et les nuit très fraîches en juillet-août (hiver). Avions investi dans un chauffage électrique d'appoint (25 euros ds n'importe quel supermarché) et que nous avons béni pendant tout notre séjour (surtout au Cap!!!).

Je krijgt hier voor je geld best veel ruimte. De kamers zijn in prima staat, en de woonruimte en keuken is netjes. Wel zijn er af en toe wat eigenaardigheden. Zo was de bevoorrading van de keuken wel erg minimaal: qua bestek waren er welgeteld vier messen en één theelepel aanwezig. (Ja, dat was alles.) Ook was het internet wat primitief. Er was alleen bereik in de lobby, en hier moest dan ook (voor Zuid Afrikaanse standaarden) flink voor betaald worden. Personeel was over het algemeen vriendelijk, maar ze spraken niet allemaal even goed Engels. Afgezien van dat, was het best een prima verblijf.
