Hotel lacked microwave and refrigerator-these conv

Pros: Location and the bed was comfortable. Motel was easy to see from interstate. The Fazollis restaurant was appreciated.
Location: Location was off Exit 8 of I44. The exit had the most confusing road pattern that I have ever seen- driving on the left under the bridge.

I apologize for the lack of a mini frig or microwave in your room. Our suites currently do offer the mini frig and microwave and we are hoping to install them in all of our regular rooms soon.

Pros: Near the freeway, clean.
Cons: Elevator and better breakfast menu.
Location: I only stayed overnight in Joplin.
I was surprised that there was not an elevator to get to the second floor. The breakfast was lacking in options. Too many carbs and not enough protein.

Definitely Not A Bargain

Pros: Staff was very friendly and helpful. They're knowledgeable about the surrounding area dining and attractions. Housekeeping does a good job.
Cons: Repairs need to be done and finished so you don't feel like your staying in a run down place. Get rid of the queen bed advertising on the web.
Location: They are close to a Cracker Barrel restaurant and a little Italian place. It's close to a FWY so it's convenient. Joplin doesn't have any attractions.
For 2 week nights we paid over $139. The staff was friendly and the room was clean. Everything else was disappointing. The continental breakfast was very, very basic. The web site advertises queen beds; they were doubles. The pool is indoors in a very humid room and reeks of chlorine. We didn't even swim because the room temperature and smell was too much. There was poorly done wall patches in the bathroom from water damage and the air conditioner needed to be continually restarted to keep the room comfortable. A large chain motel would have cost less, and you wouldn't get the "breakfast". My experiences with the large motel chains has always been a step above this place.

Not a happy customer

The hallway and the room smelled like walking into a dump. Luckily I brought my lysol spray to use in the bathroom and the bed. The top sheet was had stains on it. I brought a blanket and put over the top. The sheets and the pillow cases were filthy and our clothes and our pillows had a filthy smell on them for the rest of the weekend because of the bed. I would not recommend this place. The hallway even smelled horrible.

I would like to apologize for the dissatisfaction you experienced during your stay here at the Joplin, MO Microtel. I assure you that our facility is cleaned daily by the housekeeping staff. All linens are laundered and each bed is made with freshly washed linens each day. The laundry detergent that we use does not have a fragrance, this is for those guest who may be allergic to those types of things. I apologize for the bad smell that occurred in the hallway, often we have heavy smokers and that smell tends to travel out of the rooms and into the hallways. Again I do apologize for the dissatisfaction you experienced.

I arrived early and Manager said I would have to wait till two o clock , I said can you give then a non smoking room he said yes so I came back at two o clock and some one else was at the front desk and I told her about non smoking room and she said all she had was smoking , so I used the room for a couple hours , The smell was so bad and the room was so dirty , I left I cant believe some one would rent a room that bad never again at this Motel

I would like to apologize for the lack of attention from the manager. He should have set a non-smoking room aside for you knowing you were coming back or at least informed the next desk clerk on duty of the situation. Unfortunately it is very difficult to completely remove the odor of smoke from a smoking room. We do what we can to clean the room but the odor will always be there. I understand how unpleasant it can be for a non-smoker to have to be in a smoking room and I do apologize.

I loved it here, was way better than I expected and the price was great! Everything was clean, the bed was comfortable and the tv had wonderful reception and good selection of channels. Fazoli's is right next door and Cracker Barrel is just a short walk away, both delicious places to eat. I will stay here again next time I travel!
