"Great find"
Considering how expensive Amsterdam can be, this place is a great find. Newly renovated, clean, nicely styled, and close to all amenities. The owner was also accommodating, although there is a small problem that should be corrected - the place is listed as 'Pet Friendly' but the owner does not normally allow this, and charged an additional cash fee for 'cleaning'. There was also a house showing/viewing or maybe an appraisal arranged during our stay - not the most ideal timing. Otherwise, I would definitely recommend the spot. Make sure to get in touch with the owner first to ensure there will be no problems - she's helpful, pleasant, and will likely resolve any issues promptly. Thanks for the stay!

Pocket Guide: Jordaan, Amsterdam Pet-friendly Hotels

Leafy and quiet, Jordaan (pronounced 'your-darn') is Amsterdam's most fashionable village area. Old warehouses have been converted to chic apartments and some of the city's prettiest canals are lined with houseboats, charming 'brown cafes' and classy restaurants. Don't miss a stroll along the Egelantiersgracht and Brouwersgracht canals. Prinsengracht, home to the Anne Frank Museum, also boast delightful 'hidden' hofjes (almshouses).
