“Goid for families”

Suit was spacious, clean, well equipped. Staff was helpful, free shuttle to the airport, A short walk from downtown, and food store. The only disadvantage was the noise at night coming from the highway (my kids didn't care...)

“A new suite hotel”

The room was great. It was a suite with a complete kitchen and a washer-dryer. The location was about a 15 minute walk from downtown, but the lower price made it a worthwhile trade-off. Given the kitchen in the suite, there is no restaurant on the premises. We liked the newness of the property.

“Four in Juneau”

This hotel is within walking distance of everything in Juneau. The staff was helpfull including the manager who put us in his personal car and took to our dinner reservation because we arrived late in Juneau. Rooms have a complete kitchen and a grocery store is very close. We stayed four days and will definately go back.

“Great suite if you are staying awhile in Junea”

The Juneau Hotel was nice, clean, the staff was friendly. The suite had a sitting room, kitchen and seperate bedroom making it nice for a stay of a few days or more. A bit of a walk to "downtown", but do-able. Not bad at all if you have a rental car.

“Close to town!”

Our suite was roomy, comfortable, and close to downtown. We booked the 2 queen suite, and it was perfect for our party of four adults and two children. I gave cleanliness a three because there were a few spots that I could tell hadn't been wiped down. Nothing that made me cringe or feel like the room was unclean, but being a housekeeper, I notice these things. It didn't have a few of the basic things I normally expect when I stay in a suite, like a toaster, salt and pepper, and a full sized coffee pot, but those weren't inconvenient enough to make us not want to stay here again. Overall, I think it was a pretty good deal.

“Good for extended stay business travelers.”

The room was fully equipped for an extended stay: full kitchenette with dishwasher, stove, oven, microwave, and pots, pans etc. Not much counter space, but other than that you could cook a full meal there from scratch if you wanted. Also equipped with washer and dryer in the bathroom. NOTE: no proper table and chairs to dine at, just a small desk and chair. For business travelers staying a week or longer, this is a good place.

“LOCALLY SITUATED AND THE BEST HOTEL DEAL IN JUNEAU”

THE JUNEAU HOTEL IS DEFINITELY NOT THE MOST ELEGANT BUT WHAT YOU DO GET IS A GREAT DEAL. IT IS JUST MINUTES WALKING DISTANCE TO DOWN TOWN CENTER, TO A GROCERY STORE, POST OFFICE, FEDERAL BUILDING, MUSEUMS AND MORE. IT IS ALSO SITUATED JUST STEPS FROM THE WATER OF THE GASTINEAU CHANNEL THAT HAS POTENTIAL FOR BOTH GOOD FISHING AND IF YOU'RE FORTUNATE YOU MIGHT EVEN BE TO SPOT ONE OF THE PODS OF KILLER WHALES OR HUMP BACKS THAT SWIM RIGHT BY IT. BUT THE BEST THING ABOUT THE JUNEAU HOTEL IS WHAT YOU GET FOR YOUR MONEY. ON OUR FIRST NIGHT IN JUNEAU WE STAYED AT A DIFFERENT VERY NICE, BUT SPENDY DOWNTOWN HOTEL WHICH WAS AN OLDER UP SCALE PLACE BUT ALL WE GOT WAS A ROOM WITH A BED AND BATH . ON THE OTHER HAND THE JUNEAU HOTEL OFFERED US A 3 ROOM SUITE FOR MUCH LESS THAT INCLUDED A FRONT ROOM WITH COUCH AND TV, A SEPARATE BED ROOM WITH ITS OWN TV AND ALSO A FULL KITCHEN WITH A BREAKFAST BAR, BAR STOOLS, A STOVE, A REFER AND A DISHWASHER. BUT TO US THE TOPPER WAS THAT IT ALSO HAD A WASHER AND DRYER IN THE ROOM THAT WAS FREE. ALL OF WHICH SAVED US QUITE A BIT DURING OUR STAY

“Hotel best avoided...”

This hotel is over-priced and not that great. It just could do things much better, with a little extra effort. The highs were that it was clean, and tidy, and the rooms were large. The lows were the room door was open when we got to it, the price (maybe normal for Juneau), the missing cable for internet and no cups for coffee (despite being a suite). The worst low was the shuttle booking back to the ferry port was messed up and we had a rush there. The driver was fine - I doubt it was his fault. The staff on duty were not unhelpful, but compared to the other hotels in SE Alaska, they clearly did not care that much. Try and find another hotel, although I am wondering if Juneau just has too many tourists passing through with little repeat business and that is the route cause.
