“Only there one night, but hotel was great.”

I had an overnight layover in Taiwan on my way back from Bali.. This hotel is beautiful, the rooms are very nice and clean. Carpet had perma stains but not too bad. cab ride was around $20 from the airport.. the continental breakfast was OK.. The don't cook the food long enough in Taiwan.. especially eggs and meat. Good hotel! aloha

only there one night (from 11pm-12pm), but checked out the night market.. games for kids and craft and food booths. not many english speaking people.

“Read website carefully”

Before I booked with Kuva Chateau I briefly skimmed their "Services and Facilities" page on their website and inferred that they offered shuttle services to the airport and free WiFi. However, after staying there, I now realize that what they were trying to say on their website is that they will call a taxi for you (no free shuttle) and they have free WiFi only in a single area on the 15th floor.

“I like this hotel, but location...........”

I liked this hotel, but the location is just not so convenient. I stayed here on mid April for 3 nights, good service, nice and helpful staffs, room was good size and clean. The only problem is the location is middle of no where. You do need taxi to take you to most of places. There are some convenient stores and restaurants around. The night marker is just 3-5 minutes walk, I went there for dinner for 3 nights. ^_^ Overall, I am happy with this hotel and will come back next time.

“Good hotel in Jungli”

I have stayed several times at this hotel in Jungli, and it is my favorite. The night market is a short walk from the hotel, and there is a municipal park across the street. You will find locals doing their exercises there every morning. The wild morning market is less then a 1-mi walk down the road, it is the perfect place to visit for a morning walk. After walking out of the hotel, head straight ahead down the road perpendicular to the hotel, and you'll find the morning market.

Area recommendations

What to pack

If you have not visited Taiwan for business previously, then you are in for a treat. Leave your neckties behind. You will not need them. It is nothing like the formal lifestyle of Japan. In Taiwan it is not unusual to find the CEO wearing a open neck shirt, and many times golf shirt. If the people you meet for business are wearing suits, it is because they think you are expecting it. They will dress up for formal business meeting, or a formal dinner, but it is not their natural attire.

“Taipei”

I enjoyed my stay. This is more of a business hotel but I booked because of the price. The hotel is in great condition and everything works staff is friendly and lots of smiles. The only thing I will add is it is about 1/2 hour to the downtown and Taipie 101. There are many 7-11s nearby and street food if you wish the nigth market is easily walkable and the area totally safe at night.

“Not a bad hotel”

The room is clean, new, and nice. Restaurants are also nice. There is not much flexibilities for checkin and checkout. It's near the night market but the nearby streets don't have many shops.

“Good quality and good price at the expense of location”

The hotel was really nice and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful, and there was always at least one person at the desk that could speak English well. The room service is good also. The style is a mix of Taiwanese and western. It was definitely a good price for the quality of hotel. It is not the most exciting location for vacation though. It is about an hour from downtown Taipei and there is not much to see locally, but if you are on business in Chungli or other parts of Taoyuan county it is fine. It is close to the airport, and taxis are pretty cheap in Taiwan.

Area recommendations

One thing you can see nearby is Taoyuan city. There is a pretty busy shopping district there and a fairly large temple. It was Chinese New Year when I went, so many shops were closed, but the temple was super busy. Chungli is fun to walk around for a while, and it is definitely not too touristy. To get the most out of your trip though, plan on taking at least a couple of day trips to other areas. Go see Taipei 101.
