Out-of-the-way Charm

Posted Oct 13, 2014 on Hotels.com
A lovingly restored rural hotel in the tiny, blue-painted hill town of Juzcar, Hotel Bandolero was a great escape from the noise and crowds in Andalusia. The bilingual proprietors gave personal attention and great insight into the area. Terrific restaurant complements of chef Ivan. The drive in from any direction can be somewhat harrowing, as the winding, two-way road is just over one lane wide as it passes through the gorgeous Sierra Nevada. The smurfiness was cute but a little cloying.

Hotel agradable con algún desencanto

Posted Sep 5, 2014 on Hotels.com

Pretty much perfect BUT........

Only tiny moan is that for a hotel based in the middle of a blue Smurf village, the restaurant menu could have included a few kids meals ? The food was good but nothing my two would entertain. Probably lack of education on my part but that's kids today !!

Thank you and in response to the moan, the restaurant has a couple of food options for children on its menu including pizzas, but are not called "kids meals" because we are not McDonalds.
