“Not impressed”

This hotel wasn't like others from this chain we have stayed at. It seemed to be lacking polish & attention to details. THE WALLS ARE PAPER THIN so you hear your neighbor and they hear you. That was the worst part of the place. It is kind of off the beaten path but there are places to eat, shop, etc at the next exit off the highway. Breakfast was OK, but short staffed so the front desk clerk was also the guy putting out food. They ran out of some things. 1 ice machine was broken. Pool was not huge, but nice and warm and clean; the kids enjoyed it. The hot tub was nice too. This was just OK--and for the price we paid I was figuring it would be much nicer. The worst part was the poor accoustics.

“Adequate to Needs”

Boilerplate property. Noisy on night of stay due to large number of children. Comp breakfast overrun with children. Front Desk unable to give driving directions to Western Michigan Football Stadium just 10 minutes away. Overpriced - value for dollar not there in this instance.

“Hotel staff was very helpful,”

From directions to extra towels, they were very nice. The hotel is tired, and in need of repair. Particularly the bathrooms. The sofa was so worn, it kind of "sucked you in". The staff on the otherhand couldn't have been nicer, and for that alone I would go back.

“Location wasn't the best, but hotel was clean”

The hotel is very close to airport and we aren't used to the noise. Next time we will pick a better location for our needs. The hotel noise was not an issue though even with a very full hotel including busloads of teen boys. Staff was friendly and beds were comfy.

“May be better after remodel complete”

The hotel is in the process of being remodel so I imagine that it will appear better after this is complete. However, a remodel cannot help noisy neighbors. The hotel was not busy so it would have been very nice to have a room in between occupied rooms to help reduce noise. The room next to us sounded like it was full of teenagers having a party. They were laughing and screaming well into the night. Complaints about the physical room would be that the shower head needs replaced(took a very long time to rinse out shampoo and conditioner), pillows were not comfortable, bed was too soft.

“Just Okay”

The rooms were a little "tired" the draperies were hanging off the hooks, the tables, lamps, etc. were very dusty. The bathroom tile was not cleaned very well. The swimming pool was ice cold. There were signs that they were renovating however. The breakfast service was very nice and the lobby area was very comfortable. Probably would stay again.

“Surprised”

We have always been pleased with Country Inn and Suites. This one was old, ran down and in an odd location. Just wanted you to be warned it's not as nice as country inns normally are....

“Will never go back”

Stayed at this hotel one night at Kzoo. We got the "2.5 stars Unpublished deep discount rate hotel" from the Expedia. This hotel was located close to the city airport and away from other hotels or anything else. The air condition was not turned on in the afternoon when we checked in, and the moment that we walked in, there was a smell of molds. The air conditioner in the first room was making loud klonking noises, had the maintenance guy over, could not do anything, so we had to switch to another room. The second room had a defaulted toilet handler. The staff was friendly when we complainted about the rooms but insisted that this had never happened to them before. We could not be more happy to move to another hotel the next day. This hotel should never be rated as 2.5 stars. I spent $5 dollars more and stayed at a much better 2.5 stars hotel (Fairfield Inn) the next night without any cancellation restriction. Expedia should do a better job in rating the listed hotels.

“Not impressed”

Staff was terrible! Pool was dirty and unusable. Spa was out of order, and not even a sorry, or that it was out of order!
