“Don't go if you value sleep and personal hygiene!!!”
There was dirt between my sheets and stains on my towels. Loud college kids yelled and blasted music until 5:30 in the morning. We stayed here only for one night to keep costs down, I would have rather spent the extra $30 and stayed at a merriot.
“Absolutely disgusting!”
This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The staff lived in the hotel and did not care about the appearance
“Affordable and clean”
For the price this hotel had a good location and clean rooms and is centrally located. The towels were small but overall it did the trick
“Take it easy”
The management was friendly and gracious. Free parking in the middle of the community. Room was clean and comfortable. Rates were very affordable. Only complaint was the smell of disinfectant which was addressed.
“Will stay there the next time I am in Kalamazoo”
Price was right, and motel was basic but good. Room clean and in order. Had to request a spare roll of bathroom tissue and remote control for the TV. Front desk clerks friendly and gave me what I needed. "Continental Breakfast" was muffins and coffee/tea/milk, adequate but not alot of choice. Will stay there again the next time I am in Kalamazoo, since it was a decent two nights and the location is exactly what I needed.
“lower priced but not cheap”
This was exactly what we were looking for, a low priced but not cheap hotel room. The area in which we were in had recently been remodeled. We were attending an event nearby, within walking distance and no-frills was what we were looking for. The room was very clean. The beds were comfortable. The mini-refirigerator worked well. The air condidtioning was excellent. There were no surprises and we would definitely stay here again without hesitation.
“Travelers' Beware - Too dirty to take a shower”
Not only was the service at the desk poor, the room was not clean. The sheets had not been changed (they were full of hairs), so we slept on top of the top sheet in our clothes. The room reeked of cheap cleaner at first and then smelled of urine in a spot by the door as the cleaner wore off. The bathroom did not look clean at all, so much so that we skipped showering and left as soon as possible the following morning (we were just staying one night during a move). Overall, this is probably one of the worst if not the worst hotels I have ever stayed in. I would never go back.
“Kalamazoo Knights Inn - Clean and friendly”
Clean and friendly as well inexspensive. Area is a school town grocery store nearby along with fast food down the street. Close to I94 for travel. Overall I was satisfied with my stay.
“Good Value”
The price and location were great. The only drawback I found was that my non-smoking room smelled as if it may have been a smoking room at some point.
“A Wake-Up Call”
This hotel is a dive located in Kalamazoo's 'hood' lacking the most fundamental services that would make it barely tolerable. Bring slippers or you'll want to keep your socks on to avoid contact with the carpet and floor. Just dial '0' for a wake-up call and then pray for it to come in the morning while you look for the most basic hotel amenities — I got one of three wake-up calls requested.
