Great family-oriented stop enroute to Sun Peaks

Posted Feb 17, 2015
we stayed at Thompson enroute to Sun Peaks from Seattle, to break up the trip a little and stock up on groceries etc. on the way to skiing. It was really nice: staff friendly and helpful, dog friendly, swimming pool and games to keep kids happy, and walking distance to groceries and restaurants (a brewpub is a block down on Victoria). Would definitely stay there again.

Perfect hotel for our Hockey Tourney stay

Posted Jan 26, 2015
Pros: The play area, with pool tables,, etc, was awesome! to be able to hang out with the whole team, with lots of space was perfect.
Cons: another large table so more players could sit and eat pizza. Swimming pool was extremely cold, needs to be warmer.
Location: Almost right beside the Memorial Arena, for hockey. Landsdowne Village right behind, for any shopping needs. Tim Hortons. Pubs and restaurants.
Was a fantastic hotel for the Hockey Tournament that we were involved in. Staff were fantastic. The Games room was perfect for the players to hang out, and enjoy playing pool, air hockey and mini basketball. Shopping plaza behind was very convenient. Tim Hortons was perfect for our very early game, for breakfast, and coffee. Lots of choices for restaurants downtown, which were a few blocks away. Would definitely come back.

The staff were friendly and the hotel was quiet.

Pros: See above.
Cons: Check the temperature of the fridges. Mine froze everything.
Location: Casino, a variety of restaurants, grocery store, etc. Everything you need basically.
It was good. The quiet of the hotel and pool area was much appreciated. Everything was handy. The staff were very friendly and I liked the little notes on the bathroom mirror.

Nice hotel

Posted Oct 21, 2014
The hotel itself is a great place to stay at as their staff is wonderful! Only thing I have to say regards to my stay is that some fixtures needed to be done within the room. A little dark and also have burnt light bulbs which doesn't make it any brighter. Second thing would be, the room I stayed in couldn't get a clear signal for the complimentary wifi. Yes, it's free however, being free still should have a better signal for travellers wanting to use the Internet. Other than that, I would recommend to stay here as it was really quiet despite the railway being accross from us.

Hotel am direkt Bahnhof

Posted Oct 21, 2014
