Simple and straighforward

Posted Jun 25, 2014
Pros: Location. Clean. Inexpensive.
Cons: A little musty, but just need to open the windows
Location: In Kamuela so everything is near.Especially Merrimans!
I went to Kamuela for a business supper meeting so just needed a place to sleep overnight. Nice restaurant next door. Been here before, about 15 years ago. Very simple, but clean, bug free, well kept. Staff very pleasant and easy to check in/out. Safe area, quiet, good location in the middle of Kamuela. Didnt want to spend $500/nite at the fancy hotels down the road(also,20 miles away).

Location: Paniolo restaurant very good
Hotel staff was friendly and very accommodating. Room was clean. Only needed a fan to circulate the air.

close to our friends

Pros: quaint
Cons: Wi-Fi connection and refinished your great furniture
Location: Friends was it.
It was an ideal spot for us to be able to walk to the post office and Starbucks so I could log onto the computer. Not being able to get Wi-Fi in the room was the most disappointing aspect. The room furniture was classic but needed refinishing.

Ok place to just sleep and shower

Posted May 11, 2014
The place is old, smelled like mold, we had to open the window to get the stench out, the chairs are filthy we never sat on it, the bathroom did not have a fan the window was unable to open,as far as the staff they are the best, we always had clean towels daily. The staff are helpful and provided the best service. We were ok since we were always out. We only slept here and shower, so we didn't mind. Besides who wants to go to Hawaii and just be cupped up in their hotel room. I would refer this place for people who are on a budget.

Comfortable, good rates

A good, basic, clean hotel located “downtown”. Good restaurant next door –Paniolo (walking distance) We stayed in late March for one cool and rainy night. Room was two beds, upper floor, basic and comfy. WiFi was extra, but appreciate it was an option and not added to the room fee. Pleasant staff. No problems. Recommend it as an overnight or as a base for extended day trips.

Nice staff but very noisy - bad insulation

Staff is very nice but walls are soooo "thin" you can hear conversations from 2 rooms away!!! Also upper rooms have no fan to conceal some of the noise.

Awful place but was the only choice by default

Just one of the crappieat places I've stayed so far. No air conditioning, just a lousy fan that doesn't even stay in place. Couldn't even access the 12" television because the cable appeared to be not in service. Believe me, I know my televisions and various remotes but this one took the cake and I'm confident the "not in service" message on every channel was due to me checking in late, only staying one night, and them not caring where they put me. At least they had coffee at checkout, but not sure they are worth the $100 paper night stay they command. Unfortunately for me, it was the only hotel near my job site

Old motel with a dirty carpets and smell

Posted Mar 8, 2014
Nobody tell us that office closed at 11pm. We was at 11.06pm and nobody was there. They charge about $90 per night. And I expected that carpets suppose to be clean and room with no smell

Waimea Stay

For the money it was fine. I did not expect a 5 star hotel. All in all, it suited our needs. Mana Christian Ohana church right down the street a block and a half was fantastic, thanks for that connection!

Basic, quiet, no-frills stay.

Pros: Friendly and helpful staff. Quiet.
Nice, friendly staff. Only stayed here one night, while on my way to a more scenic vacation spot. Nice enough for that purpose.
