Passed its glamour days

Posted May 18, 2013
Pros: They let us change rooms because we were close enough to the pool. Didn't get a chance to taste the free 'gourmet' breakfast.
Cons: get the carpet changed and update the rooms.
The pool was nice. The room was roomy but smelled moldy and mildewy. Not the best part of town. But for the price it was ok.

Pros: Friendly staff, quiet and good restaurant.
The staff are really friendly and the Thunderbird restaurant was great. Hummingbirds outside the window at breakfast.

Disaster

Posted May 4, 2013
Cons: no pool, no breakfast
Location: terrible
A disaster. Staff is rude. Pool was closed, even though all other hotels we stopped had pool working for weeks already, its 32C outside if not higher. Specifically booked this hotel for the pool so that my daughter can enjoy some swiping after whole day of hiking, what a disappointment. Also NO FOOD. Its ridiculous other then 1 subway there is only 2 other places to eat with crazily overpriced menus ( average of 20-25$/per person ) !!. There is completely nothing else around this hotel or should i say the whole Mount Carmel. Just do not stop in this city. You will starve to death. Get a hotel in Kanab or Hurricane, these cities are soo much nicer and much better prices on hotels (with working pools!) and plenty of food stores around.

Good for the price and location near Zion

Posted Apr 6, 2013
Pros: Restaurant
Cons: Service at night
Location: Ideal for Zion and Bryce vacation
We were planning on arriving late to the hotel. We could not find the property at first. They not only had no night shift personnel, but also nobody answering the phones and no lights on outside the hotel. When we finally found the place, we had to call for owner to come and check us in. Other than that, breakfast at the restaurant was good and they have delicious pies. Rooms are nice, but water temperature would oscillate in temperature.

Great Location + Great Staff = Great Deal

Posted Apr 2, 2013
Great room with a balcony overlooking the golf course. Staff was extremely friendly, and allowed my son and I to eat in the Pro Shop to watch the March Madness games. This is a very friendly ownership and staff, and a great location to spend one or more nights at. Highly recommended!

Pleasing, BUT

Unfortunately the wireless Internet access was down for my whole stay, even though the staff try re-booting their system.

Great place to base for a visit to the parks.

Posted Nov 3, 2012
Pros: Location, cleanliness of room. Friendliness of staff.
Cons: No bar for a quiet drink. Beer and wine can be purchased with dinner in the restaurant.
Location: North of Kanab, surrounded by picturesque hills, pretty.Right next to turn for Zion park.
Great little hotel, great location for Bryce (about an hour+) and Zion (about 1/4 hour) Fairly quiet after dark, not much around but a small gas station/store. Hotel has a restaurant and shop but no bar. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Charming/great value

Posted Oct 17, 2012
Pros: Clean, cute decor
Location: Very convenient to Zion National Park and not far from Bryce Canyon
This place was absolutely charming. The furniture is the rustic pine look and everything in the room was in excellent condition. This is a great hotel for the price. Service at the desk and restaurant were very good. The outside of the hotel is not fancy, but at this price, it is a great value.
