Nice hotel in beautiful city of Kanab

Posted Nov 12, 2013
The hotel is pretty much nice to stay in such a beautiful city of Kanab. My wife and I stayed for 2 nights for a visit to The Wave. Parking and internet access were fine. Breakfast was ok. Staff were nice and welcoming. The only thing about our experience was that we needed a microwave and had to go to Lobby. So satisfied overall.

Pros: good location for hikes and sightseeing in area.
Location: Grand canyon, Zion National Park, Grand staircase escalante, Lake powell , and more all in easy driving distance.
Toilet loud flush. Room cold and no blankets available in October. Floors have loud creaking noises.

If you're a late sleeper, stay elsewhere!

Pros: It's location can't be beat if you're visiting the many parks in the area or Best Friends Animal Sanctuary.
Cons: Some insulation against the noises from outside would be FANTASTIC!
The hotel is perfectly located for just about anything that draws you to the area. It's VERY clean and the beds were VERY comfortable. Hotel staff is friendly without being overbearing. I hear they have hot, continental breakfast daily but didn't indulge. If you have any inclination whatsoever of sleeping past 7:00 AM, forgetaboutit! Each room has it's own door that opens to the outside. Housekeeping starts at 7:00 SHARP and the carts rolling up and down the sidewalk right outside your door is better than any alarm clock....ever! There's virtually no insulation or sound dampening barrier. Conversations outside your door sound just like they're in your room. Stairwell traffic can't be ignored. Otherwise, it's a great place to stay. The clean, large pool and hot tub are a wonderful way to unwind from a long day.

Pros: Clean.
Cons: Hair Conditioner. That shampoo and conditioner in one is crap.
Room was clean, but very old. I expected something nicer for this price.

Not worth it.

Posted Sep 4, 2013
Pros: Not much.
Cons: The rooms.
Stayed here because it was a little cheaper than some of the other options, and the facility didn't look terrible from the outside... Plus, it was just for a night. Big mistake. The floors were as creaky as any I have ever walked on... I could hear the floor in other rooms, and I wasn't even below anybody. Walls are paper thin. The A/C unit doesn't have an "always on" option for the fan without turning off the cooling, so it sucks if you like white noise. The fridge clicked when the compressor shut off, and I couldn't find a way to disable it. Lastly, there was a light right outside the window, and the thick curtains don't close all the way, leaving the room incredibly bright all night long. This place needs a lot of work.

Staff very friendly, location convenient, breakfast was plentiful. Wished they had a business computer available as I don't bring along a laptop.
