Our stay was "fine" but not what we were expecting. "Preserve" reservation was not backing to a preserve as shown with Buffalo. Not that we asked, but there was little interaction with staff or the ranch. We went to the restaurant one evening, the backroom heater was lit so the room was smoke filled. Understanding there would be a smaller menu - we did find it challenging and pricey. Not a "bad" experience but unlikely to return.

It's a great place to stay with kids because of the farm animals. We also enjoyed the gorgeous view. So relaxing! We stayed in a cabin, the room is spacious! It also provides a dining table, a fridge and a microwave, however, I would wish there are some plates and utensils too. It would be perfect if the restroom is a little bigger.

Zion Mountain Ranch was a rustic experience. We had a cabin on the property. Fun seeing the farm animals. The restaurant was quite good given the off the beaten path location. The drive there through Zion was spectacular.

My kids really loved petting the dogs, and seeing all the other animals on the property- horses, chickens, ducks and pigs. The restaurant was really delicious with large portions. Staff was really friendly and Knowledgeable. Location was very close to the east end of Zion. The beds were comfortable. The 2 king bed cabin was enormous, the 2 full bathrooms came in handy. The jetted claw foot bathtubs were a treat after long days hiking. It was nice having a full size coffee pot and the coffee provided was pretty good. If we return to the area we are definitely staying here. 10 stars!

The location was beautiful and the ranch property was great. Lots of animals who are all very friendly and fun to pet and hang around. The rooms could’ve used a bit more cleaning but overall they were great. All of the staff was very friendly and the food was great.

Staff is amazing but the cabins and housing needs some love in general. Worst mattress we have had in years and we travel a lot, completely worn out. Broken pictures frames, frozen floors, bad heating in bathroom. We kept our sandals in the shower and ceramic flooring. It is not advertised properly, it’s perfect if it’s what you expect.

Disappointed Anniversary Dinner
The staff was excellent! The cabin was clean and cozy! It was our 42 anniversary which I let them know. It is the “off” season but the website doesn’t indicate anything is any different during this time. The restaurant was supposed to be farm to table so we were very excited to try the food. There were five items on the menu but they only offered three. There was a bison burger for $28, pasta for $28 (meat additional) and $48 skirt steak. Since we were celebrating we opted for the steak. It was small and cold with a lot of potatoes. We didn’t return for breakfast.

We visited in January. Ranch was beautiful, host were extremely friendly and helpful. Rooms were amazing - super clean and spacious and warm even with cold and snow outside. Highly recommend.

This is NOT a dog friendly property. I’ve read over other reviews and it’s had similar issues but management refuses to do anything about it or even acknowledge the issue. I booked from Expedia and no where does it say, do not go into the lobby with your dog or even that you will be charged an extra $100 for your dog. I was not charged because my dog is a service dog and legally, you can’t charge but all these things NEED To be disclosed ahead of time, no matter if it’s a 3rd party booking site. It has all the other information. Why not this? I walked into the lobby with my dog not knowing their policy against this, and their 2 very large dogs attacked my dog. My dog is trained to ignore this and he did. If he would have not, the situation would have escalated and ended up quite possibly in a law suit. I brushed this off as a one time occurrence but after being recommended a jeep tour (a 10 minute drive away from the property) we arrived to the jeep tour location and were shocked when the same 2 dogs came running after my dog to attack him. My mom who has a heart condition was extremely frazzled and let go of my dog. I had to separate my dog from the other 2 dogs. I also had to call the front desk of the hotel to please pick up their 2 dogs because we were scared to leave the reception hall of the jeep tour. The rest of the stay, I was seriously scared to walk my dog anywhere in the property. Management seemed more annoyed at my concern than for our safety.

Kind and friendly check in. Loved the animals roaming around and the ability to wander and enjoy the land. Made me feel like we were at our home farm and not just a place to sleep and spend money. Perfect size cabin for two. Very quiet and peaceful compared to the other end of the park.

Our stay was superb. The Ranch is Magnificent and we could not have been more pleased. The staff over the top and the restaurant was excellent. Everything about our visit was top notch . Amy at reception was over the top. Informative and knowledgeable. Our hope is that we can return for a longer stay next time. Our only complaint is that the bathtub jets tub was not functioning.

One of the most peaceful and beautiful Properties I’ve ever stayed. Only complaint is that the restaurant boast farm to fork. In the lobby they were giving away excess tomato produce, but our salads clearly had tomatoes and lettuce that were store bought.

Incredible stay
We had the most amazing stay. We booked for 3 days on our honeymoon & it was incredible. We had the bison right outside of our room in the morning. The food at dinner was delicious. The staff was very friendly. We loved the animals on the property. Everything about this ranch was superb. We will definitely be back.

We had to switch rooms (cabins) the second night of our stay due to the fact that the first room was only available one night. The one room cabin was absolutely beautiful! Very roomy, clean, charming log cabin with porch and bench with incredible expansive view. Small kitchen with refrigerator, microwave, dishes and dining table. It was gorgeous! We had a delicious meal at the Cordwood restaurant on the property. Unfortunately the restaurant is understaffed but they did a good job of serving everyone. The second night we moved to a much larger cabin which was also nice but as updated as the first. We went to the restaurant for their buffet breakfast. Unfortunately this was the low point of our stay. We came during the last 90 minutes of when breakfast was offered but the eggs were hard and cold, bacon was barely warm and sitting in its own grease, cantaloupe melon was so unripe as to be inedible, coffee was also weak. Also many serving utensils missing. Otherwise an amazing place with charming animals and two beautiful and friendly white dogs. Overall it was a lovely place and we would definitely stay again. Staff was very accommodating and friendly.

Great cottage style place to stay near Zion National Park. Great view! Friendly staff! Nice restaurant options! I would give 5 stars if the following 2 areas were improved. (1) Super weak wifi signal in the cottage room. You can consider it as no internet because the signal dropped every 45-55 seconds then took 2-3 minutes to reconnect. Yes, I tested it myself. The staff told me there was a technical issue for the internet signal in the cottage area on that day. However, the main lobby/restaurant area got strong & usable signal. (2) Do not have a clear signage to help you find your cottage room. They did give a printed map though. Better than nothing but I drove into the wrong area when trying to get to the cottage room across the road by following the map. Overall, really nice stay and will come back again in the future if possible.

They failed to mention in their ad that there is no cable, there are no restaurants nearby except the one restaurant on the ranch that is overpriced and very limited menu. Bedding was poor quality. Rough and scratchy.

We are rural, however there are dozens of restaurants all within a 30 minute drive and some of the most beautiful highways that the west has to offer. We appreciate your feedback!

This was our third stay here. The views and location are excellent. Unfortunately our stay was not comparable to our last two stays. The restaurant keeps going down in quality each time we go. No real other dining options close by. However the views and rooms made it worthwhile

Disappointing and overpriced
We expected the resort to be rustic but clean and well run. We were disappointed, especially based on the room prices. It seems like the resort is resting on past laurels. When we arrived, the bathroom toilet was not properly cleaned and there were cobwebs underneath and around the bed. The furniture was tired and well worn. We wanted to be able to sleep with the windows open but there were limited screens and one had holes in it. The restaurant was also disappointing. Dinner was ok but expensive and the buffet breakfast was poor and ridiculously priced(more than in some 5 star hotels that we have visited) Other guests have commented about the animals on the ranch but we noticed that some of the dogs and the ponies were not well cared for. Children around the animals/chickens were unsupervised by anyone from the ranch so the animals were vulnerable to be hurt.
