“Perfect location and perfect reception”

Wonderful hotel with wonderful service ...Reception and Concierge could not have been more helpful, providing instant travel information and extra coffee at a moments notice. I am thinking hard, but I cannot think of a single point on which to offer any criticism whatsoever. I think we might go back to Kanazawa just for the hotel !

“Nice hotel and I will certainly stay again”

The hotel location is good, right next to railway station. The front counter staffs were polite and quick, and perhaps we arrived at off-season time, they gave us a rather spacious room which was very nice decorated. We had lunch in their Japanese restaurant, food was good and inexpensive. I would recommand to people who will travel to Kanazawa.

“Convenient location”

Great service comes as standard in Japan, and the hotel staff could not have been better. The mix up over room size was quickly sorted out at check in and the staff made us feel very welcome. Its location adjacent to the train station and bus stops made this hotel a perfect sightseeing base. Would definitely stay here again. Lots of bars and restaurants in the vicinity.

“Best Hotel ever!!”

Our stay at ANA Crowne Plaza was without fault. A clean, modern hotel within a 5 minute walk from the station. All staff were friendly and helpful, and the breakfast included was better than any we have ever had in our travels. Breakfast buffet even included a self serve espresso/cappucino machine! Very highly recommended!

“Great location and comfort, great value”

The location is perfect for travel by train and bus, being adjacent to the JR station, which as a large number of restaurants and shops. Other hotels in the vicinity offer even more choices. The hotel lobby is bright and airy, and the staff are courteous and helpful. Our room was spacious, quiet, and the air quality was very good. Plumbing fixtures are modern, and the mirror is heated in the center to eliminate moisture "fog". Soap and shampoo were ample and good. Wired internet was free and unlimited. The only complaint is that the TV had too few channels, and it was difficult to get the "bilingual" feature for original English language broadcast without Japanese translation voice-over. For the price, this hotel is a great value. There are many places to see in Kanazawa, and there are several good day-trips to make if you have time and make this hotel your base.

“A1 accommodation in Kanasawa.”

We stayed 3 nights at this hotel and enjoyed the experience greatly. We booked it through Expedia with a non-refundable advance payment so the value for the money was excellent. We got first class accommodation for a lot less than expected. The room was relatively large and on the 16th floor so it overlooked the city. Everything was first class, and the service staff was very thorough and courteous. Check in was a dream, so quick and easy. It is next to the train station and tourist bus loop, so it was convenient to the city. There were plenty of restaurants in and around the station so that eating was not a problem. We had one night of teppanyaki on the 19th floor that was delightful, made even better by the unexpected discount for residents of the hotel. We would recommend this every time.

“ANA Crowne Plaza Kanazawa”

The ANA Crowne Plaza in Kanazawa is just steps away from the JR Station and centrally located in Kanazawa. It is huge, so there is a wide variety of room choices. The room is classically Japanese/Western (heated toilet seats! Yucatas! Space!) and there is a comfortable restuarant (but expensive!) in the lobby. We enjoyed the multiple classical Japanese weddings and the parade of gorgeous kimonos through the lobby. There are not many reasons to visit Kanazawa beyond business or as a transit point to Noto, and this hotel is a large and anonymous business residence. That said, if you have to find a quick and convenient hotel in Kanazawa, the ANA Crowne Plaza is an excellent choice. Also, the Nissan car rental office next door has exceptional staff - the young woman programmed our GPS and called our onsen to confirm our reservation.

“Attached to Train Station”

The Crowne Plaza Ana is attached to the Kanazawa Train Station which makes it a very convenient hotel. The train station has many restaurants and a grocery store so everything is within walking distance to simplify life. The Kanazawa Loop Bus departs from a stop at the train station and takes you to all the local tourist spots of interest. The hotel rooms are comfortable and about average size for Japanese hotel rooms which is to say, they are a bit smaller than hotel rooms in the US. But the staff is always pleasant and helpful and the with everything so close at hand, this hotel was one of the better hotels that we visited. If you're coming in on the train, the Crowne Plaza Ana is one of the best places to stay in Kanazawa, IMHO. To catch the loop bus, buy a ticket at the bus ticket office at the far side of the bus terminal (right in front of the train station). The loop buses look different than the regular city buses (we got on the wrong bus so don't make that mistake). It stops withing walking distance to just about all points of interest for a tourist and delivers you back to your hotel.

“Terrible Service”

I was only staying at the Crowne Plaza for one night. Despite it being a well rated hotel, they couldn't even provide basic services. The internet didn't work at all in my room, and I spent my first half hour trying to make it work. I called the front desk three times, and the line just rining. I had to go downstairs and wait in line, and when I told the front desk that I'd called several times they told me that they knew, and didn't bother to apologize. I explained that my internet wasn't working but that I was going to town to work on my computer and told them to check while I was gone. They said ok. I came back that night and it still wasn't working, so I went to the front desk again. I asked if they'd checked it out, and they said of course not. I had to have someone come to my room to see that it didn't work, and then we tried it in the room next door. It still didn't work. He apologized, but they did nothing about it. They didn't try to move me to another room. I had to use the internet in the lobby that night to make calls. The most frustrating part that my time was wasted. It was not only a bad experience, but it wasted hours of time that could have been spent elsewhere. In addition to all of this, the room was rather small and the bathroom wasn't very nice. From what I remember, it didn't even come with a washlet. This is the worst service I've ever experienced in a hotel even after having stayed in budget hotels in the US and Europe. Don't waste your time here.
