A good resort now aging

Posted Feb 11, 2015
The resort is very green and has all the facilities for a comfortable stay. The staff is polite. The property is now aging and needs maintenance. The breakfast is OK, except good additions to the buffet on weekends. No free shuttle to town. Hotel arranges paid drop offs to town for a minimum of 3 persons.

Reasonable hotel for the price

Posted Jan 21, 2015
The hotel is in a peaceful setting. A pity about the staff. The location is quite good for the kwai bridge and kanchanaburi town.

ok but expensive and a felt a little trapped

Posted Jan 4, 2015
Pros: Staff
Cons: Pool needs maintaining
Location: Walking the bridge over the River Kwai was great - local tours were also good including Hellfire Pass and the war cemeteries.
Nice hotel but in need of some care. Our kids cut their feet in the pool on broken tiles. The restaurant is expensive and organising transport to Kanchanaburi can be difficult and costly. Easier to walk if you can. Also, as normal tours from the tour desk are expensive. But I have to say the staff were fantastic. For the quality of services, prices were on the expensive side.

Beautiful location.

Posted Jan 3, 2015
We had two adjoining rooms for two nights. Huge rooms with balconies looking over the river Kwae. Decor a bit dated, but clean and well appointed, giving the impression of somewhat faded glory. Very few TV channels but that is not why you go to the area! Breakfast very good, with plenty of choice. We ate one dinner in the Chinese restaurant superb. The other was in the main restaurant, which was good, although the service was a bit slow. Gardens extensive and well kept. The famous bridge was only about 400 metres away. Very good sign telling you not to cross at night. When you cross during the day, you can see why! Thoroughly recommended for couples and families.

Idyllisches, weitläufiges Resort am Fluss

Posted Nov 3, 2013

Posted Oct 26, 2013
Pros:
Cons:
