Cons: Cleanliness, updating
Very old & run down hotel! Popcorn ceilings, sticky carpet & wallpaper coming off walls. Pool and hot tub were disgustingly dirty. Staff was friendly but overall very disappointed with hotel condition.
Stranded at airport until midnight!Posted Nov 23, 2013
I followed instructions for shuttle pick up at airport, no answer at number hotel provided. Finally took a cab, $20 for a mile and a half ride. Shuttle van parked at entrance when cab dropped me off at midnight and driver at front desk. Will think twice before ever booking at Comfort Inn.

Nice hotelPosted Sep 30, 2013
We live on Chesapeake Bay and have grandchildren living near LA. So when there was a family wedding in Kansas, our son's family stayed in same hotel - in rooms next to each other. Great breakfasts. Fun in the pool. Quiet.

Extremely pleased with our 1 night stay at the Comfort Inn in Platte City Missouri. Our room was clean, comfortable and quiet. The hotel staff was very polite and accommodating and the room was reasonably priced, a great value! We attended a wedding at the Red Barn Farm just 15 min away in Weston Mo. This is a working farm that children and adults would enjoy very much. The surrounding area is rolling and beautiful, nice country drive.

Clean & CozyPosted Sep 11, 2013
Pros: The cozy lobby and study. Very impressed with the honor throughout the hotel for the military. The photo wall for the military was very impressive.
Cons: Minor cosmetic knicks on the walls in the bed rooms, but that's it.
Location: Lots of great hotels and shopping within 5 minutes.
We traveled to this hotel with our two children and we loved it. While it's not a fancy hotel, it was clean and cozy. We were very impressed with the "home-like" feeling in the lobby, study off to the side of the lobby as well as the outdoor sitting areas surrounding the hotel. Additionally, every staff member we encountered from the front desk to the staff in the breakfast room were friendly and eager to help you any way they could. Very impressed with the experience and will plan to stay there next time we travel to KC.

Hotel smelled like mildew/mold!Posted Aug 27, 2013
This hotel has got to be one of the worst I've ever stayed in, and I'm not used to staying in 5 star hotels. You don't have to do much to keep me happy with a hotel, as long as the room is clean, I don't care if it is outdated, etc... However, this room was bad! The minute you walked in it smelled like mildew/mold. The room itself felt damp, and I was afraid to put anything on the floor. When we crawled into bed, it felt like there were crumbs or sand in the sheets. I remarked to my husband that I didn't think the sheets had been changed after the last guest. There is a card that you can leave on the bed if you don't want them to waste the water to wash the sheets if you are going to stay again that night. I made sure the card was hidden and NOWHERE in sight so that the sheets would definitely be changed. They weren't. We know for a fact they weren't, because my son, who is 2, had gotten ahold of the pen on the desk and had left a mark on his sheets (not a huge mark, but noticeable). If they had changed the sheets, the mark wouldn't have been there anymore. When my husband was checking out he told the owner and the manager the sheets weren't changed. They said, "Well, the card must have been on the bed."
