In This Day In Age????

Posted Feb 3, 2015
I was really shocked that in this day and age Embassy Suites charges daily for internet services. They offer free complimentary drinks and free breakfast, but charge for internet??? This is something that really rubbed me the wrong way. Had I realized this, I would have stayed somewhere else, even if it was more expensive. It's not the cost itself, but the principal behind this fee that bothered me so much. Had they just made each room $10 more a night and not had this separate internet fee, I would not have even noticed, and it would have been a non-issue. Charging a separate fee just comes off as taking advantage of their guests.

Nice hotel close to shopping and airport

Posted Jan 26, 2015
Pros: Proximity to shopping, restaurants, evening reception, breakfast, late checkout, large rooms
Cons: No free wi-fi
Location: Airport, Zona Rosa,
Very nice hotel for the money. Loved the large rooms, wonderful breakfast, and evening reception. Would definitely stay here again and will soon. We went shopping and ate at nearby Zona Rose. Attended the evening reception. Then went to watch a live band back and Zona Rosa. The late checkout and breakfast the next day was great. Nice job Embassy Suites, good hotel.

Issues with this Embassy only.

Posted Dec 31, 2014
I typically stay at the Embassy when traveling, but I do not think I will stay at this one again. I found a dirty sock under the dresser and the manager in charge at breakfast was quite rude. Housekeeping also knocked on my door several hours before check out as if to rush me out of the room.

Really loved the location of this hotel and the free shuttle service to the airport. Staff were friendly and helpful! Price was great as well!

Great stay for a great price.

Posted Dec 15, 2014
Pros: Free cook to order breakfast and the free happy hour
Cons: Update the mattresses, they seemed "tired" and we did not get the best nights sleep.
Location: Close enought to all the KC attractions while still by the airport
Overall we enjoyed our stay. The staff was friendly, the happy hour and cook to order breakfast were wonderful and the kids had fun at the pool, which was clean and not overcrowded. I also thought the lounge prices were fair when we enjoyed a drink when we returned to the hotel later in the evening. The beds were lacking from a comfort standpoint for my wife and I but overall we would stay there again.

Always a safe bet!

Posted Nov 24, 2014
Pros: Everything.
Location: Straight down the road from the airport, right of I-29. Tons of great dining, shopping and entertainment within 10-15 minutes.
My husband and I live about 50 miles North of KC and stay overnight 3-4 a year. We have tried other hotels by the airport but prefer the Embassy. It is always friendly, clean and a wonderful experience. I would recommend this hotel to anyone - whether you are staying for a weekend get away or visiting Kansas City on business or pleasure - you can't go wrong with the Embassy.
