Pros: I liked the location, the general ambiance of the lobby and reception area, and the room.
Cons: The carpets seemed a bit old and needed updated in my room.
Location: This hotel is super close to all of the shopping and restaurants, as well as access to the I-435 interstate. A very safe location, many amenities.
This was an excellent choice for my stay in Overland Park. It was close to the I-435 and right on Metcalf with all of the businesses and shopping. The made to order breakfast was first rate and the staff could not have been friendlier or more helpful.

Cons: The living rooms could use some updates.
They must have a excellent manager. He/she has hired wonderful people and trained them well. The staff went out their way to be friendly and helpful. The bed was wonderful, but the room needed some paint (the ceiling above tub had paint peeling). The HVAC in the room was fairly loud, though not overwhelming. Still some maintenance on the unit is due. The room could be a bit quieter, I could hear neighbors at awkward moments. Breakfast and happy hour were real bright spots. Their food was excellent and a good value. Try their wings with the Jim Beam sauce and/or the KC barbecue. Both were a tasty treat. That said, I would seek to stay here again, depending on price. I felt that this stay was a very good value. This hotel will succeed or fail depending on the quality of their staff.

Close to shopping center but not clean

Not what i expected. The room smelled bad, dumb. Said free wifi, but we paid almost 7.00 dollars. Bathroom was terrible.

Breakfast was not served until 7:30 A.M. We had ball tournaments at 8 could not make it on two different days. The TV service was just a few channels could not get the local Royals ball game had to go to their bar to see it. They had Direct TV, should have been in all rooms. I will have to think about re booking because of these two items.

Pros: Happy hour from 5-7 which included free drinks and snacks. The breakfast in the morning was also pretty awesome.
Cons: Improve the quality of the non-suite rooms or make the description more accurate.
I will preface this with saying that the staff did compensate us one free night due to our lack of satisfaction from the room. Which definitely made up for all things from our experience. We stayed in one of the non-suites and were not very happy about it. The picture and description of the room on the site were slightly misleading. The room was located at the corner of the hotel which made it very small due to the location. The air conditioner was extremely loud which led us to leave it off most of the time. The TV reception was also fairly poor and the shower screeched when ran.

The premium package is the way to go. Great extra benefits! I was on overnight business. Found myself wishing I could stay a few more nights!
