Nice hotel , 2.1 miles from the KCI airport ,

When I fly out of the Kansas City Airport I frequently stay here. It's close to the airport , free shuttle and resonable long term parking . The room was clean , air conditioning worked well . There is a restraunt and bar in the hotel which is not bad . It has a nice clean pool . Resonable rates

Very friendly staff but room was way too hot

We stayed on floor 5 and the air conditioner did not get below 76 degrees. The staff was super friendly and kind and offered suggestions to try to get it cooler but nothing worked. They offered to switch rooms but that room was also hot as it was on the 5th floor as well. We received free breakfast coupons and our server was amazingly sweet. Overall, I wouldn't recommend in the summer if you like to be cool while you sleep.

Seemed old and smelt funny at times. The restaurant had nice people but very bad service. The hair dryer smelt like something was burning. Not enough electric outlets. On a good note, the beds were comfortable. Would not consider this place a four star hotel.

Hotel staff fabulous - restaurant staff needs help

When taking our food order at the restaurant - it seemed like the waitress did not listen to our requests, I. E., we wanted medium rare burgers - we received well done and we asked for sauce to be on the side for one of the burgers and didn't receive it - the sauce was on the burger. When taking our order, she even said we shouldn't be ordering medium rare. They were also understaffed.

Comfortable Place to Stay

Pros: Liked the cleanliness and comfort of the bed.
Cons: The AC unit was noisy and we reported it to the hotel. We only stayed one night but the hotel notified me via email that they replaced the unit.
Location: Close to the airport and easy access to the interstate.
The hotel was easy to find and access, check in was fast, room was clean.

Cons: check air conditioning units before a paid guest stays in your hotel
I was having troubvle booking 2 rooms in the KC area for the weekend of June 6th. When I booked thru Expedia I was told that the hotel would shuttle us to Power and Light. I called the hotel to confirming this and the other request of adjoining homes that morning; I was informed by the hotel staff that they ONLY shuttle to the airport! The hotel was kind enough to arrange for the taxi for 6 of us. We were back at 11:45 and starving! Thank goodness the restuarant in the hotel was still serving! The food was fantastic! The real stinky part was that the air conditioning in the one bedroom DID NOT WORK!! Bummer for us and we did not realize the air was clunking out, we turned the air on when we arrived and didn't realize this until we arrived back at midnight- too late for 6 people to change rooms. All in all it was pleasant and kudos for the hotel kindness!

Location: We only stay when flying in and out of MCI. We live not far from K.C.
Took advantage of the sleep, park, fly service. All worked well. Nice room with frig and microwave, nice restaurant--good food. Bar also available. Shuttle to and from airport--prompt service.

Disappointing

Pros: 24 hour shuttle, I had another hotel chosen but their shuttle ended too early for our flight. Otherwise...nothing.
Cons: Everything...ESPECIALLY the LOUD A/C

Disappointing...to be polite. Carpet filthy, air conditioner is extremely loud. Bed was okay. Very glad it was only one night. No decaf coffee! Restaurant food lousy and $10 for A waffle...really? The lovely fresh strawberries described on top, strawberry jam... NO decaf in the restaurant or anywhere. Bar staff rude, music playing in there, people laughing, drinking, we go in, sit down, wait a bit, then they tell us they're closed. No sign, hours of operation or anything prior to the walk down the hall to the the bar and no sign saying "CLOSED" AT the bar... Like I said, "Disappointing" is the polite word I am using. This is my second experience with a Sheraton and my LAST...my bad, for choosing one a second time I guess.

The room was good, but the food at the hotel restaurant was overpriced, slow and not very good. The waitress provided great customer service.
