An awful odor is present in the hotel. I brought this issue to the the hotel's attention and was told they didn't smell anything at all. I also tried to get Expedia to help, but their text only customer service was way too slow. I left after the first night and did not return.

Tired and Disappointing
Unfortunately, this is no longer anything close to a luxury hotel. The hotel is tired and is in serious need of new life. I was initially frustrated by the lack of valet parking - particularly on a very cold night. Then, my initial room would not get warm enough because it had too many windows, so I was moved to a different room. The second room was only marginally warmer. I travel to Kansas City frequently and decided to give The President a shot after having not stayed there for a number of years. There are many better options in downtown Kansas City.

We stayed here because it was so close to the t-mobile center. Very nice room with comfortable beds. Quite too. Although we were not quiet, as my two young boys played and jumped in the room. We got no complaints. This is a beautiful hotel and we really enjoyed our visit.

Beautiful property which was well decorated. Very quiet rooms with really comfortable beds. We slept really well. The only problem was a heavy vanilla-cinnamon scent that was in the entry way by the main desk. It really affected my asthma. I asked about it and front desk clerk started that it was their "signature holiday accent". You could smell it all the way up the elevator. We decided to not try the restaurant because I'd have to walk through it.

Great location for nightlife!
Everything was really great and really cool history of the building on display. Great location with lots of food and drink options and the streetcar stop is super close. Easy walk to KC Live! Which is always a fun time. The only thing I could really complain about was there was not a fridge in any of our 3 rooms.

Great location for Power and Light District, food and dining options all around. Easy to Uber/Lyft from there as week. I will state we didn’t like the cologne scent in the lobby.

When we checked in, it was quite chaotic in the lobby. A lot of people checking in for their stay, but the staff were respectful and calm during it all. I did not have issues checking in, but others seemed to be having issues, but the staff kept calm and took care of us all. Two blocks from the concert venue; so that was super convenient.

We never checked in for our stay--I reached out to both Orbitz and the hotel on Wednesdsay, 10/25 to cancel my stay (understanding that it was outside of the cancelation policy). Orbitz reached out to the hotel to request that the cancelation fee be waived and never heard back. Our credit card was charged for the entire stay. My husband and I had both tested positive for Covid and unable to attend the Pink concert.

Disappointed for the price
Location was great. Service was less than satisfactory especially for the price. We had to ask for our room to be cleaned, ask for coffee to be refilled, parking is not connected to the building and no valet. Front desk would not answer the phone— went downstairs and no one was waiting in line they just didn’t answer. Went to the bar at 10:00pm on Sunday night and no bar tender in site for over 25 min.

Disappointing Experience and Booking Confusion I recently stayed at the Hilton President with my family, expecting the usual Hilton standard. Sadly, I was left disappointed. There was a mix-up between the rooms for myself, my brother, and my cousin. My brother was allowed into my room without verifying his identity – a huge security concern! To make matters worse, upon arriving late from our delayed flight and to a late check-in, there was no room available for us because they had given our room to my brother. Leaving my 2-year-old and us nowhere to sleep. My brother ended up giving us his room and spent hours in the lobby until 2 am trying to resolve the issue, eventually paying out-of-pocket for another room just to sleep. This trip was marred by these issues, and I hope Hilton addresses them for future guests.

Check in time is listed as 3pm. At 4pm our room was not ready. The front desk checked us in and we were told we could proceed to the parking garage and wait for a call when the room was available however when we got to the garage the hotel attendant would not allow us to park and even when we request he use his walkie or phone to confirm the situation, he refused and I had to call the front desk who confirmed we could, in fact, park and were checked in but they had forgotten to give us a parking tag. The manager brought us out a tag and told the attendant to allow us to park. The attendant kept having us move the car around to allow other cars to pass, there was not a lot of area to do so, so we were in the way of everyone and it just made for a very hectic process. Overall, the hotel is very clean, beds are comfortable, and location to the T-mobile center was very convenient. Check out was also hassle free. Our biggest issue was with the hotel parking attendant not listening to what we were saying and also being unwilling yo make a simple call to fix the entire issue.
