Dog friendly, hallways were dark and smelled musty

Rooms were fine. Not in walking distance to the plaza.

At just three blocks from the Plaza most would consider this walking distance. Obviously not every one views things the same. However, for those who do not wish walk, we offer complimentary shuttle service. Next time please consider using our shuttle. Sincerely,

This hotel was a good central location for a weekend in KC. The hotel was comfortable, and the staff were very nice and extremely helpful. Our only complaint was that the tv didn't work but that was a minor problem, We were not there to watch tv. Overall we were very happy with the hotel!!

Don't book

Hotel rooms are completely outdated and smell like stale cigarettes. Air conditioner barely functioned and ran all night. If you want a comfortable nights rest, look for another hotel.

I have great news, our new furniture has arrived and we are in the process of installing it floor by floor.! We have also just added refrigerators in our entire tower. I couldn't find any record mentioning any air-conditioning service calls during your. Did you tell our staff about the problem? Although we are constantly preforming preventative maintenance mechanical items can breakdown. We guarantee that if you have a problem we will fix it or it is free. We hope that you will come back and see our great improvements.

Pros: Great location in relation to nearby attractions. Rooms were clean.Free parking garage. Staff very friendly.
Cons: Parking spots too small and hard to navigator with SUV.

Good location, eh otherwise

Pros: Location, free parking
Cons: Needs makeover, less dreary lighting in hallways.
Location: Country Club Plaza
Other than the lobby area, the hotel has a distinctly 20 year old vibe with dreary depressing hallways. Our room was occupied when we went up there, it was quite startling. Bad start. To the hotel's credit we were comp'd with free breakfast at their okay breakfast buffet. Rooms need makeovers, though internet was quite good and there were decent HDTV's. Refrigerators present. Parking free which is nice for the Country Club Plaza area, but if you're coming back late at night good luck with finding a spot. Overall tolerable, but personally I'd go elsewhere next time.

Please accept my apology for your experience upon arrival to the assigned guestroom. We have addressed this issue with our newer staff member to ensure this does not happen to someone else. I can also tell you that we have begun the installation of a new furniture package in our guestrooms as well as other improvements to the hotel. You mentioned another of our recent upgrades- our 100Mbs wifi service which we completed earlier this year. Please give us another look when you come back to Kansas City

Not a 3.5 star hotel in my book

Location: Location is pretty good.
I purchased this hotel reservation through a deal advertised as 3.5 star hotels in the Plaza area, where the name of the hotel is not revealed until you make your selection. The price was great. The staff was friendly. But this is far from a 3.5 star hotel. This hotel is old and worn. The furniture was quite scratched up, the desk lamp did not work, the underside of the toilet bowl was not clean, the bedclothes and window treatments were dated and worn. This experience will make me wary of ever using that option again.

I have good news to share with you about our hotel. Our new furniture has arrived and we have begun installing in our guestrooms. We have also upgrade our internet service to 100 Mbs, installed refrigerators in guestrooms, and new lighting with additional easily accessible electrical outlets for all of your devices. I always like to stay in this hotel when I come to KC, they have the most friendly staff, the rooms are so clean and comfortable, and it's by a walking distance to the lovely plaza shopping centre

Loved our stay here

This is a no-frills hotel in an older neighborhood. If you are inclined to appreciate clean and quite rooms, you will love this hotel. However, there is no complimentary breakfast. There was one issue with cigarette smoke that was IMMEDIATELY addressed by management. We were very appreciative of that. All in all, a clean room and quite night are more important to me than a complimentary breakfast.
