hotel needs updating

Staff was very nice and the free shuttle was great. The hotel however needed updating. It seemed a little run down. We lost power to our room for the last part of our stay and could not watch TV or see to use the bathroom. As we were checking out, we could smell smoke which then prompted the fire alarm to go off. Needless to say, we left on a hurry. I'm not sure we will be back.

Tim, Thank you for your feedback. There was a power surge in the building which did cause some smoke and as designed our smoke alarms worked as designed for our guest's safety. I also have good news that we have ordered new furniture to update guestrooms. Come back and see us, you will like the planned improvements. Best regards,

It could've been better. Bathroom facet squealed unless you had the handle a certain way, then it'd drip. Noise easily carried from the other rooms and hallway. Friendly staff, free parking and the location were all wonderful though!

Memories of the Plaza

My mother had passed away and we were in town to bury her ashes & go to the memorial. We decided to stay on the Plaza because we grew up going to the Plaza. Mom had worked at Winsteads when she was a teen and her father had been a street car conducter on the line that ended in the Plaza. We were all born at St. Lukes and our docyor had an office on the Plaza. Mom would have like us being in the Plaza.

Close to Crown Plaza. Needs hot tub amentities.

Good. Shuttle wouldn't take us to specific location we wanted to go in the Power and Light District. Driver just said can't go into the main area and had to drop us on the outskirts which meant a 3-4 block walk. Cold- ugh!!!

Our complimentary shuttle is a favorite with many of our guests. It will take our guests anywhere in a 3 mile radius of the hotel and also to one designated spot at the Power & Light District. Since the P&L District is a "walking around" venue and in the interest of keeping the wait time to catch the shuttle we only offer the one drop-off point there. Obviously this is done so that the greatest number of our guests can get the greatest benefit from this service. I apologize that this was not the greatest level of convenience for your trip. We will use your feedback to continually evaluate this and our other service to provide the best possible guest service at our hotel.
