We stayed two days on a family visit. This hotel is stunning! Built in 1931, it is an art deco marvel. Visit the speakeasy. Yes, a real speakeasy. The staff has to let you in the secret door. Ask to see the Crystal Ballroom. It's a time capsule. Other than replacing worn flooring and paint, it's unchanged since they opened the hotel. The drapes have hung there since 1929!. I can find only two faults with it. One is the restaurant, which has a sparse menu. You don't need to add your own signature touch to Biscuits and Gravy. Onions in breakfast gravy is nasty. Other than that, the rock music piped over the speakers when you arrive is totally innapropriate for the property. This is a MUCH CLASSIER HOTEL than that. Despite that, we will definitely be back again.
