“Small inconveniences”

Hotel personnel were all helpful and courteous. Our room was on the sixth floor, had a nice view and little noise due to being on the top. We had a king room. It was nicely furnished and clean. I appreciate the sectional sofa so that both my husband and I could relax at the same time. I was disappointed with the pillows,due to allergies, but then found a foam pillow in the closet. A flatter pillow is a must for back sleepers, and I found those on the bed to be too thick and was afraid they contained feathers. We could never get the pull for the shower to come up all the way, so a good deal of the shower water, poured out of the faucet into the tub instead. The continental breakfast was adequate, but many of the pastries were still frozen. The fruits offered were grapefruit (which can't be eaten by folks on cholesterol meds) and the fruit salad contained cantaloupe which we avoided due to recent listeria contaminations. I would have liked to have seen some whole grain breads offered, but was glad there was also some fresh fruit. The only yogurt provided had artificial sweetener in it. There are only ice machines on the floors and no vending, except at the "cafe" by the front desk. Family members were able to enjoy a glass of wine before retiring for the night. It was NASCAR weekend, and finding a room was difficult. Would never pay what we did again for a room at this hotel, but we had bereavement reasons for being in town and were desperate for a place to stay.

“Needs some work”

While the staff at the hotel was courteous, the hotel itself needs work. We rented two rooms for a family of 5. We left early in the morning, and when we returned we were unable to open the door. The only way the maintenance man could open the door was to throw his entire body against it to force it open. The housekeeping staff had not bothered to inform management that the door wouldn't open and that they didn't clean the room. When I stopped byt the desk a short time later to let them know the room was not cleaned we were informed that housekeeping had left for the day by 6pm on a Saturday for the day and that they didn't have anyone who could clean the room, or even deliver a few clean towels. She tried to hand me coffee and clean mugs, towels as I was leaving for a wedding. I asked if someone could even swing by and drop it in the room, and she said no, the didn't have anyone and she couldn't leave the desk. When we returned after event two people were at desk but didn't take the time to run the items up. We still had to bring up. Rooms were worn. Shower curtain was full of mildew and the ventilation fan directly over the tub was covered in layer of grime. Air conditioning auto temp didn't function, so it was either freezing cold or overly warm. TV would dissolve into pixelated fuzz every few minutes. The rooms layouts are just odd. Great large space in living area, but the shower and toilet space so small you had to wedge in next to the toilet to close the door.

The hotel was better than advertised. The room was nice and very modern and had very nice amenities (large tv, fridge, living room).

“Great place”

This hotel is conveniently located. It was clean and comfortable. I will stay here the next time work brings me to Overland Park.

We traveled with children and truly enjoyed staying at this hotel. The couch pulled out into a bed the youngest two could sleep on. Also loved the ability to order food from the restaurant on site. We got a great rate for this hotel and would definitely stay there again!

“Good Hotel for an Affordable Price”

We arrived to the hotel late in the evening. We were greeted by the hotel staff and checked into our room. We were given a quick tour of the main floor of the hotel and the options the hotel offers. We were pleasantly surprised with the room and its amenities, however, the beds need to be changed, or our backs need to conform to sleeping on tiled floor. When we woke up in the morning our backs and shoulders were sore from the firmness of the bed. We are used to sleeping on a relatively firm bed, but we are not used to sleeping on top of a sheet that may as well been draped over an elevated concrete slab. We enjoyed our time away from home and the options the hotel offered, but we were happy to arrive home to sleep in a bed that did not give us back aches, increased muscle tension, and restless nights.

“Nice Hotel”

The hotel was great! My wife tried to check in approximately an hour prior to my arrival and had a hassel with the front desk clerk because she did not have my credit card, even though the room was paid for. Finally a manager override the clerk. Other than that, room was very nce and staff helpful and friendly.

“Exceptional!!”

Even though the hotel was very busy (and booked up) the staff was very friendly and accommodating. We thoroughly enjoyed the stay. For once in a hotel we couldn't hear the noises from the hallway!!

Was thoroughly impressed with quality of hotel, esp with price I received. Lovely hotel, and price from expedia was amazing.
