Great location in South Johnson County

Posted Dec 26, 2014
Stayed during Christmas holiday, rooms were great and the staff was really friendly. It was only about 30% occupancy when we checked in, so we had a choice of rooms. Location is just south of I-435, easy to travel and close to our destinations.

Pros: Breakfast bar, spacious room, friendly staff.
Cons: Room lighting. Desk blocks closet, difficult to get to the closet without actually moving desk. Housekeeping needs to be more detail oriented.
Location: Not much on College (main drag nearby), but more on 119th St - eateries, big-box shopping, etc. Short hop to highway.
This was the Thanksgiving holiday period, and it appeared that there were some new staff people less familiar with the processes. I had requested a handicapped access room; one staffer wasn't sure they had such a room (of course, they must). Towels weren't replaced one-for-one on a daily basis. It took a specific request left in the room for housekeeping to vacuum and to remove the water from the ice bucket. Again, it might have been because of the holiday weekend that they were short-staffed and/or less trained. The room itself is spacious enough. Lighting is a bit on the dim side. And for a handicapped access room, the light switches at the bed are very high on the wall. Only one phone in the room, rather than the one at the desk and the other on the nightstand. Other nits, but when I requested something from the front desk staff, they were most accommodating.

General Appearance and Morning Breakfast

Posted Nov 30, 2014
Pros: The staff was cordial
Cons: The breakfast!!!!!
The interior general appearance is somewhat lacking...the paint on metal doors and frames is of poor workmanship, bathroom floor was dirty, some of the bathtub tile gout joints were dirty, the deadbolt would not engage the door frame. The morning breakfast was absolutely horrible. The fresh fruit was terrible (mushy, flavors melded together), the bananas were old, soft and overripe, devoid of flavor. The hot items were served cold, i.e. waffles.

Good location and the staff was very courteous.

Posted Nov 17, 2014
Pros: Location, price, and they allowed dogs.
Cons: Heating and rooms could be cleaner
Location: Great shopping and restaurants less than five minutes.
Our room was fine--could have been a bit cleaner and the walls needed to be touched up with paint. The toilet and bathtub room was so small you could barely close the door but the rest of the room was spacious and quite nice--almost like a mini-apartment as it had a sitting area and refrigerator. The first floor hallway and dining area (where you ate breakfast) was very cold the whole time we were there.

Good hotel but understaffed.

Posted Nov 3, 2014
Hotel was pretty nice for the price but it was completely understaffed from 6am into noon. Any morning questions, check out, etc, at the front desk took at least 20 minutes and the person at the front desk answered phone first and made customers in line wait and wait and wait. There was only one person at the desk. Only one person in the kitchen too so there was no silverware in the morning. If the morning kitchen and desk staff was doubled from 2 to 4 the hotel still would have been understaffed. The staff worked very hard but were overwhelmed.

Nice hotel for a business traveler

Posted Nov 3, 2014
Location: The hotel is in a great location so that you are 5 minutes away from restaurants and shopping at Park Place/Leawood Town Center. It is only 10 minute
The hotel was quiet and comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was satisfying and saved me extra time and money versus going out to eat. I liked the sofa, desk and mini-fridge in the room so I could relax at the end of the day without having to lay on the bed. I will definitely stay here again.

Posted Oct 27, 2014
Pros: Breakfast bar
Cons: Just about everything.
Location: prime location
Outdated facility, short on staff, no ice machine/vending machine on the first floor. about he only thing positive was the breakfast bar. Beds need to be throw out and furniture replaced throughout. would not stay here again.

Older hotel but still not bad

Posted Oct 24, 2014 on Hotels.com
This is an older hotel and you can tell. It was clean and the staff was friendly. The breakfast was the same each day and from my previous experiences with Hyatt Places, that is not normal. All in all, nice place, convenient and friendly staff.

Breakfast was good but the coffee was TERRIBLE. The coffee looked like tea and when another quest and myself mentioned it we were told it was fine.
