Cons: having a bottle of water in the room when we arrived would have been good.
The staff were all friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good with lots of choices. The room was clean and comfortable. We would stay here again.

Pros: Staff was great
Cons: key system, elevators, dog area
Location: great location. close to many things
asked for 1st floor because we have a dog, and got fifth. Had trouble with keys, and had to keep going to the lobby to get re-keyed to get into the room. Dog park area is not the best.

Good stay, especially for the price

The room was great and very clean. It was really quiet at night and the bed was comfortable. The "fitness center" is really just a couple cardio machines, but they all worked. Breakfast had some nice options, but was hit and miss. Also, the refrigerator in our room did not actually keep anything cold. That said, overall it was a good stay, especially for the price, and we would stay here again.

less than desireable

I have stayed at several Hyatt hotels anf thus by far was very disappointing. Breakfast was nicely included, however it wasn't impressive. The bathroom in our roim was dark and dingy. The bed was hard. The room was large though and would have been nice if our son had been with us. We really like the area of location and possibly would stay again.

Great location in South Johnson County

Stayed during Christmas holiday, rooms were great and the staff was really friendly. It was only about 30% occupancy when we checked in, so we had a choice of rooms. Location is just south of I-435, easy to travel and close to our destinations.

Fabulous service, rooms just ok sofa was very warn needs to be replaced. The commode ran on and off the whole time. The a/c unit is loud. A light by bed did not work. Housekeeping came after 4pm. Breakfast stale. Outside grounds need more attention. Check in area awkward. I have stayed at many Hyatt Hotels and this one is not up to par to the others. The staff was wonderful.

Very disappointed!

Posted Dec 16, 2014 on Hotels.com
The staff was wonderful very friendly. The room did NOT come close to meeting my expectations. The carpet was coming up from the seam by the bathroom door. You could see that something was sticky all over the bathroom door; there were steak marks all over the tv like something was spilled on it & never cleaned up & when we pulled out the sleeper sofa there was yellow stains on the sheets. I was very disappointed with the room for $80 per night. I would expect to see these things at a cheap hotel but not at a Hyatt Place.

Pros: Breakfast bar, spacious room, friendly staff.
Cons: Room lighting. Desk blocks closet, difficult to get to the closet without actually moving desk. Housekeeping needs to be more detail oriented.
Location: Not much on College (main drag nearby), but more on 119th St - eateries, big-box shopping, etc. Short hop to highway.
This was the Thanksgiving holiday period, and it appeared that there were some new staff people less familiar with the processes. I had requested a handicapped access room; one staffer wasn't sure they had such a room (of course, they must). Towels weren't replaced one-for-one on a daily basis. It took a specific request left in the room for housekeeping to vacuum and to remove the water from the ice bucket. Again, it might have been because of the holiday weekend that they were short-staffed and/or less trained. The room itself is spacious enough. Lighting is a bit on the dim side. And for a handicapped access room, the light switches at the bed are very high on the wall. Only one phone in the room, rather than the one at the desk and the other on the nightstand. Other nits, but when I requested something from the front desk staff, they were most accommodating.
