“Good hotel if you're on a budget!”

We chose this hotel because we were going to a concert at Harrah's and didn't want to pay $200 for a room. We took a cab to Harrah's which cost $10 each way. All in all, the hotel was clean and convenient. I would recommend if you're on a budget!!

“from WA”

I would certainly stay there again. Friendly staff, clean room, nice shower. Twice my Key didn't work so that was a pain to go down 3 floors. The continental breakfast was safisfactory. So yes I will probably stay there next year.

Area recommendations

Kansas City is one of the most beautiful cities in the world. The history and the different arts are extraordinary. And the "old" neighborhoods are exquisite.

Must see

The Arabia, the Missouri River. Farmers Market, The Plaza, Waldo, Westport, Universities, the Train Station and the WWI Memorial. The hundreds of fountains are awesome.

“Great Stay for the Money”

I would definately stay here again. My friends and I went up to Kansas City Power and Light District for my birthday and it was a very convenient place to stay. The cab ride was cheap and the hotel was worth every penny. Checking in was easy and the workers were very friendly. I would recommend this hotel and will stay here again if I am in Kansas City.

“Too Loud”

Hotel was decent. The room was fairly clean and neatly decorated. The hallway was extremely loud. At 2am we were awakened by slamming doors and again at 7am more slamming doors, yelling in the hallway, and the only reprieve was that the heating unit in the room was quite loud (good or bad thing?) which muffled some of the hallway noise. Loved the shampoo though!

Area recommendations

Downtown or Crown Center is better, more to do and more upscale hotels. For stadium trips go further east.

“Horrible!! Recommend you stay somewhere else”

Reservation was made through Expedia and non-smoking room was confirmed by Expedia. Arrived at hotel at 9 pm with wife and two young kids. Upon opening door to room, the cigarette smoke smell was so strong that we could not even enter the room. Went back to front desk and they said they "were sorry, but they had no more rooms left and that their policy allowed them to hand out rooms on a first serve basis and that they were in no way obligated to provide us a non-smoking room". Obviously a reservation means nothing to them. I will never stay at LaQuinta again!!

“Great Room, Good Service”

Hotel was conveniently located near freeways, food, gas. Staff was friendly. Hotel was clean and so were the rooms. Internet service was free and reliable. I appreciated the recliner in room. The continental breakfast left a little to be desired. Protein offerings were weak, no bacon sausage, or even eggs.

The hotel itself was not that clean. The breakfast was not good at all. I guess you get what you pay for.

“Good for the money”

We enjoyed our stay. The room was clean but a wall needed a bit of paint touch up from shoe heels on the wall by my bed. Close to a couple of casinos. Within 2 miles. Some road construction nearby. The room was quiet...No highway noise noticed.
