Clean hotel

First, they should warn people that putting your room key next to your cell phone wipes it out. We got back late our second night and had to sit and wait for security to bring us a new one. My name didn't get put on the "list" for the parking garage so every time I left I was given a lecture by the parking attendant. It was frustrating.

Weekend getaway

We rode the Amtrak in, took in "Guys and Dolls" at Musical Theater Heritage in Crown Center, stayed the night with Sheraton and returned home the next morning. The whole trip was fabulous start to finish.

K. City Week-end

Pros: breakfast bar..2nd floor bar/restaurant..concierge..quiet rooms....convenient.liked the choice to NOT have maid service each day for the environment
Location: We were able to walk to the Jazz and the Negro League museums. We took cabs to Kauffman Center, Nelson-Atkins Museum, and Joe's Barbecue.
Two mature couples stayed at this hotel for two nights. We wish we had planned to stay another day or two as there was a lot to do and see.

Nice hotel near the Sprint Center.

Pros: Had an easy access parking garage.
Cons: I was there for a concert at the Sprint Center and the hotel could have offered a shuttle bus or recommended taxi services for me.
Location: Downtown Kansas City, 1 mile from Sprint Center where you can watch concerts and other shows.
I got checked into the hotel without any problems. There was easy access parking. The room was clean with a wonderful view of downtown Kansas City.

Girl's weekend

Pros: Everything
Cons: Nothing I can think of.
Location: Crown Center KC, near Lego Land and Union station. Union Station has Science City and a theater.
Very comfortable beds, lots of pillows, very clean, very nice bathroom, great heated outdoor pool on the roof. Over it!

Disappointed

Cons: Better staff. Better cleaning.
Check in went okay until I had to ask twice for 2 room keys. Room was okay until we noticed that the tables were sticky and we couldn't call out on the phone and there was not any hotel information in the room. Got worse when I spoke with the lady at the desk. She rudely told me that she couldn't move me because they were fully booked and she couldn't refund anything because I booked thru Expedia. She did agree to take care of my parking and give me a credit for room service. Later I found out that I was charged for all that anyways. (I called about that but got voicemail during their business hours. the message said they would return the call within 48 business hours - does that mean 2 days or 6 - 8-hour days?) When I called to order room service, it took 10 minutes for them to answer and I had to call on my cell. The food was okay but definitely not worth what they charged for nachos and a skimpy fruit plate. They shorted us a towel in the bathroom - which sucks when you have 2 people. The dresser drawer would not stay shut so we had to walk around it. The little refigerator was closed in the dresser unit so it was not cold. Had to leave the door open so it would work properly - another thing to walk around. No beverages in the "Ice & Beverages" room. Overall very disappointed.

We train our staff to make our guests feel warm and welcome. This is not at all what staying at a Sheraton should feel like. Weekend Getaway

Pros: Hotel is clean.
Cons: Indoor pool for kids
Location: Crown Center shopping and activities. Union Station and Science City is great for kids!
Weekend getaway with children. Hotel is very nice and clean. Easy access to shopping and activities, especially when weather is not best - love having the "link" walkway to Union Station and Crown Center shopping.

Excellent Location

This hotel is perfect for walking to many entertainment venues and restaurants. We walked to Union Station, Legoland, the Aquarium and several restaurants, including Lidia's which I highly recommend! You can also walk to the Sprint Center from here. I am a hospitality management instructor and I don't give rave reviews like this very often, but this hotel deserves it. Clean, friendly and great location. The rates might be a little high, but remember, you get what you pay for! I will definitely be back to the Sheraton Crown Center.

My first room was near the elevator shaft and the entire room vibrated and clicked constantly. You could even hear the beeps coming through the wall. I switched rooms and everything was good until someone showered. The old pipes knock and whine whenever someone is showering. Neighbors as well. Just not a very nice building. Old outdated hotel trying to be something it's not.
