Comfortable room and fantastic hostsPosted Aug 8, 2013 on Hotels.com
We stayed at Tudor Manor on our first night in New Zealand, and were made to feel very welcome. The room was very clean, and the bed was extremely comfortable- just what we needed after a 13 hour flight! The hotel is a few minutes walk from the seafront, where there are a couple of nice places to eat. Would definitely recommend.

Very Disappointing, wld've moved except had Pre PdPosted Aug 26, 2012
Pros: No Favourite things as very disappointing, although family are friendly & courteous
Cons: See comments
Location: Planes come and go overhead as very close to airport & in the path of takeoff & landing
Very poor squeaky bed in the upgrade upstairs, (inferior really), room. Very Noisey through walls from every room we were moved to. The downstairs room probably noisiest, which means they can hear you also. We were given two loaves of bread but no butter or condiments on arrival,it remained this way and then when we moved rooms the white loaf of bread disappeared but the next morning after breakfast two jams and honey in small serving bowls appeared on our doorstep. We did not use the condiments as cats are about and run into your room if door open and could have weed on them. The next day there were mini cakes on the doorstep, uncovered and there was a cat sniffing them, needless to say we did not eat them. It is not suitable for long stay, overnight at best, maybe!
