Beautiful traditional style rooms with enough spac
Beautiful room with everything in great shape. Bedroom itself had a good size and on top of it there was a proper foyer fit for a large apartment. Hotel's own spa is very small but enough for a refreshing quick morning swim. Unfortunately no air conditioning. Location of the hotel is great.

Nicely located and comfortable hotel
The stay in this hotel was very nice. It is located just a few steps from the main promenade and has a Thermal hotel views. The breakfast was superb with a variety of cold and hot meals. The room was spacious. The receptionist was a little slow but very friendly.

Very bad exprience
When we arrived at the hotel, we were told that we have to move to another hotel due to hot water issue. The receptionist told us that we should be happy with the other hotel. When we got there, we were very disappointed with the arrangement. This hotel is old, no swimming pool, not what we expected. We went back to Humboldt Park Hotel. We saw guests coming out of the hotel, looks like they were staying at the hotel. There were some guests waiting at the lobby for their rooms ready. The manager then told us that only part of the building has the problem. To be honest, I am not sure if she is telling me the truth. This is because when I checked their web site, there is a new 4-day stay policy while we were staying there for 2 nights. Finally, the manager found me a similar rating hotel for us. Please note that this caused me more than 2 hours to fix their problem. Very disappointed, will definitely not recommend this hotel to my friends.

Beautiful Hotel on the main Promenade
Pre-arrival, the Humboldt Park Hotel arranged for a taxi to meet us and deliver us to this beautiful Hotel (June 22-24, 2017). Centrally located in Karlovy Vary, we were close to the shopping centers on either side of the promenade and directly across from where the 52nd Karlovy Film Festival is held. After one small glitch, we were moved to a spectacular suite which really got our 3 days set for a wonderful time. Special Thanks to Jana (Hotel Director) for her commitment to guests -- She's the BEST

Excellent location. Easy walking to all sights in the town. Classic old world hotel. Heavy wood doors, many nice refinements. Only complaint was no a/c, but that is the norm with most of the hotels in town. Great breakfast and service. Has nice spa facilities.

Good hotel, pre check any requests will be met.
One night stop over, room spacious and comfortable, very clean. Had booked a request for a room away from lift but room was next to it on 4th floor. Alternative was next to service lift and was worse. Disappointing but Michael,reception guy, tried his best but could not offer us a solution. Noise wasn't too bad as clientele mainly in bed by 10! Anyway Michael compensated us okay so fair result. If you want a quiet room, check in advance you are definitely away from the two lifts.

The hotel is more of a boutique hotel, a little on the older side. We got to our room and had a smaller bed than we had reserved. We went downstairs and the front desk clerk "upgraded" us to the correct size. The spa area was interesting, but unfortunately the water was not warm! The breakfast was pretty nice. Overall a little too expensive for what we received.

Virtually no amenities in the room (not even for making coffee) , had foam pillows,and foam comforters.You get the picture. No ice machines or ice available unless one goes down to the bar. Ended up fighting with bartender since he only wanted to give out half a dozen cubes. Said he needs to "save them" for tomorrow. Felt a little like being in old Russia

Lovely hotel and the most welcoming staff.
We enjoyed our stay from end to end. Well situated on the shore of the river and away from the traffic. 5' walk to the city center. Great breakfast that changed every morning. Lovely balconies with views and a nice spa. We will go again.

The Humboldt is a high quality facility in a great location. Our reservation was for a double bed, but that is not what we were assigned. To their credit, the staff quickly escorted us to another room. Very nice upgrade, too. However, the service staff in the restaurant/bar that evening left much to be desired. When coupled with the breakfast the next morning (the eggs and oatmeal were cold), we'd have to think twice before returning to the Humboldt.

Excellent overall experience. Friendly and helpful staff. Hotel has its own parking area, but it is small. Parking in downtown Karlovy Vary is limited and many hotels do not have their own garages or lots. Request and confirm reserved parking in advance and you'll have no troubles. Of note for those that do not speak Czech - most of the staff speaks a little English but they are more comfotable speaking standard German. In most businesses in the area this seemed to be the norm. I consistently had better results when I spoke German. The deluxe double room is very nice and large. The bed was very comfortable. Extra pillows and towells were cordially provided on request. My wife, two year old and I all had plenty of room in the bed. The only "complaint" would be the somewhat dated carpet... but in all fairness I prefer hardwood flooring. Buffet standard European continental breakfast is included. Naturally this included local standard fare as well. The bar is a little small, but adequate for a quiet social drink. The spa and pool were great! The restaurant had excellent food and the menu was a fair mix of local and other European cuisine. There is both indoor and outdoor seating. The hotel's location is very convenient; at most a 15 minute walk to the farthest part of the city center. Plenty of food and shopping choices within a less than five minute walk too.

Unfortunately the standard at breakfast was appalling. The staff in the breakfast room were neither attentive nor helpful. We had to wait ten minutes for the milk churn to be refilled, and also a similar time for the hot dishes to be replenished. Apart from this, our stay at the hotel was very pleasant and satisfactory. Viv.

The Spa worked on a self-service arrangement, the saunas didn't work or were activated on demmand. Good service at the reception desk. No english channel in the room TV. It seems that they are prepared just for czech, german, and russian tourists.

Great hotel
The hotel was a little hard to find, because of the one-way streets, but it was well worth it! The staff is incredible. They gave us an upgraded room. They parked our car and carried up our bags. The hotel is located right along several of the attractions we wanted to see ( the kollanades (columns) and within easy walking distance of everything else. We enjoyed the outdoor cafe seating. The indoor pool and hot tub was a wonderful experience after a day of walking and taking in the sites. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

the 4th star of this hotel was a Xmas decoration!!
We had an overall nice stay in the town of Karlovi Vari but the hotel staff was very rude and careless, they treat you like if they are doing you a massive favor, nobody speaks english and they get angry with you if you ask more clarifications. They smoke everywhere in the hotel, there is no respect for a non smoker. You open your room in the morning and you are welcomed by cloud of smoke. The spa is well below avarage and the lady at the spa reception has got comunist rules and raises her finger and tells you off if you open a window or move a chair for example. The breakfast is well below average for a 4* hotel.

Hotel looks very well maintained as it was renovated just 5 years ago, good location, and room is a good size, but beware - the walls are paper thin. We could hear our neighbors conversations at 7 am. Lots of noise in the hallway, and the maid vacuuming other rooms at 8 am. The hotel is a spa, therefore you would expect to have a variety of services and times available, NOPE! Since we arrived right at the check in time which is 3pm (kinda late for a hotel check in time, if you ask me) -appointments for massages were no longer available that day. Since we were leaving the next eve, my husband and wanted to make sure that we were able to get an appointment for the next day. Being that we came to Karlovy Vary at the end of our Europe trip, we were extremely exausted and were looking forward to a nice relaxing 2 days in this gorgeous spa filled town. The next day we had to check out at 12, we asked for a possibility of a late checkout, we speak both english and russian, shouldnt be any problems in Karlovy Vary, right? Wrong! No late checkouts are available and we couldnt get a side by side massages as there is only 1 masseuse in the whole establishement. Once again, this is a spa hotel, woudlnt u think there would be more than 1 person that can do massage? The breakfast was included in the price for the stay, and it was preety terrible. No selection and tasted just as bad as it looked. Oh, the hotel has a pool, jacuzzi tub, and 2 saunas, but those are turned off, I believe they turn them on after 4 or so??? We werent able to take full advantage of saunas. There are a ton of hotels in Karlovy Vary, I would NOT recomend this one. Oh, also, no airconditioners in rooms. The girl at the front desk is a total airhead, during the check out she made at least 3 diferent mistakes relating to our bill.

Fabulous hotel - a real gem!
The hotel is located in a slightly elevated position a few minutes walk from the main spa area of the town. It is very well maintained and the facilities are excellent. The pool on the sixth floor along with the jacuzzi, steam room and sauna are superb. The spa treatments that are available at additional cost are very competitatively priced and cover most peoples requirements. The restaurant and bar are well appointed, food served during the day and evening being superbly cooked. The only minor point is to make sure you don't leave breakfast to the last minute as your choice may well be limited! Our room was very spacious (deluxe comfort) and is well worth the extra money. The staff are one of the hotels best assests. Always welcoming and informative, they were efficient and assisted to make our stay a very enjoyable experience. I whole hearted recommend this hotel.
