Close to all things in North Holland

Posted Jul 12, 2015
We arrived after our trans Atlantic flight to find our room was not ready (check in is at 2, we were there at 3). We were tired and unable to get into our room right away. So not off to a great start. The hotel is close to lots of places for day trips. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. When we were there it was very hot and we had a little fan. Luckily it cooled down enough at night. The hotel pool was clean and well maintained. Parking was great. Breakfast was a buffet and expensive for the offering. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Quiet, and only 25 minutes to town

Posted Jun 26, 2015
Pros: Everything
Cons: Good as it was
Location: Take the bus to Amsterdam. See the Van Gogh Museum, the Rijt Museum, the Anne Frank House Museum, and more. Go to the flea market near the Van Gogh.
This was my first time in Amsterdam. I wondered whether this place would be a mistake, because it was further away from downtown than the other places on Expedia. But, it sounded so nice for the price, and we had just come from Paris, so I thought I would enjoy being in the country. It was good fortune that we wound up here, and we would stay again. Any of 2 or 3 buses stops right across the road from the hotel, and it is only about 25 minutes to town. The room was big enough, the beds were comfortable, there was a little patio. The best thing about the room was the bathtub, which was a giant soaking tub. There was loads of closet space. The pool and exercise room are nice, and we also booked a very affordable half hour massage (I would have gotten an hour, but it was not offered). The bar in the exercise area makes a vegetable smoothie, which is totally delicious. I was really craving one after eating a diet of scones and steak pies while in England, and pasta and other heavy foods while in Paris. I can't say much for the hotel restaurant, but that may be just because I am not used to the regional cuisine. Two things we ordered from there to us were inedible. We rented motor scooters, and had a nice time riding. The busses run all of the time, so you can goof off in Amsterdam until late.

Good Location, a bit limited

Posted Jun 21, 2015
Pros: Location, quiet.
Cons: Improve basic amenities in the room.
Location: Near Amsterdam. Very near Volendam which is a lovely harbour town with plenty of eating / drinking, and shopping options.
Nothing really wrong with the hotel, but there was lack of basic amenities in the room. The room itself though was very large. Front desk staff were a bit curt and they didn't have any maps / info about Amsterdam which I would have expected. However, it is near Volendam which is a very nice town.

Ruhiges Hotel zum Entspannen

Posted Jun 12, 2015

Lovely hotel

Posted Jun 12, 2015
Pros: Friendly and helpful staff. Clean environment. We enjoyed sitting and relaxing in the bar at the end of the day.
Cons: Bar staff knowledge of drinks
Location: Cheese and clog factory next to hotel. Volendam is 10 minutes bus ride seaside area, where you can take 30 minutes ferry ride to island
40 minute cab ride from airport but would be cheaper by train and bus. Had to get cab because we arrived late at night. 20 minutes bus ride to Amsterdam. Close to lovely volendam. My friends and I were only there for the weekend but we all agree that if we ever go to Amsterdam again we would stay there. There was more to see but we had so little time

Hotel per l'Ijssemeer

Posted Jun 11, 2015
Pros: Ampiezza e pulizia della camere. Buon rapporto qualità/prezzo. Buon ristorante.
