Would definitely stay here again!

Posted Dec 23, 2014
Pros: Very close to beach, nice view, decent size room with large bathroom, sitting area with loveseat, kitchen table, plus desk with comfy chair.
Cons: Room could use some updating, and would have been nice if glass on the outside of the sliding glass door was clean (better to enjoy the ocean view).
Location: Close to Kapa'a with lots of restaurants, shopping, etc. Good location for driving north or south without spending too much time traveling.
Spent three nights at the Aston Aloha Beach Hotel the first few days in December, and would definitely stay there again. We were upgraded to an ocean view with a kitchenette (microwave, fridge, sink, and toaster), which was wonderful! The room does need updating (which I think they are in the process of doing), but apart from a couple lights in the kitchen that didn't work, and a refrigerator (built into the kitchen cabinets) that didn't work, everything else was fine. There was a second refrigerator in the room as a replacement for the one that didn't work, so that wasn't an issue. Received a free newspaper early each morning, which was nice. My husband loved that there was a small 'sitting area' with a loveseat and coffee table, and also a small kitchen table with chairs. And best of all, the beach is within easy walking distance.

Great location, central to both sides of island.

Posted Dec 17, 2014
Pros: The location was the greatest asset. Close to beaches and to access both sides of the island in a timely manner. Price per night was affordable.
Cons: Grounds and hotel are in desperate need of repair and maintenance. Hotel looking very tired.
Location: Great array of restaurants with 5-10 minute drive, as are shopping centers. Bike rentals, kayak rentals just blocks away.
Enjoyed our stay, although meals were a challenge as dinner must be taken away from the hotel. Beach access was good, but happy hour and coffee were not available at hotel.

relic whose time has come to an end

Posted Dec 4, 2014
I never realized this hotel was in such shambles. ponds full of green algae o dried up. grounds overgrown. almost everything of past beauty closed up or needing to. This place should not be allowed to advertise as though it is fully functioning

Deplorable hotel

Posted Nov 25, 2014
Pros: The staff. The location.
Cons: Major renovations required.
Location: A beautiful State park directly in front of the hotel.
Would never stay at this disgusting hotel again. Two front garden rooms have shrubs growing through the carpet on the inside of the rooms. Overall, a bad experience.

Pros: It was very close to the ocean and had a great view of the sun rise in the morning
Cons: Needs some renovations to the facilities as a whole. Lots of cobwebs on the light fixtures
It was a good place to stay for what we needed. It was close to a beach and to the airport.

Nettes Hotel direkt am Strand

Posted Nov 23, 2014
Cons: Zimmer sind gut ausgetattet und sauber, sollten jedoch etwas renoviert werden, teilweise fällt Putz von der Decke!
Gute Ausgangslage für Touren auf Kauai, schön am Strand gelegen.

Great location, end of compliments

You couldn't ask for a better location on Kaua'i. The beach is very nice. Easy ride to either Poipu or Princeville. But the hotel is in very sorry shape. Crumbling walls, filthy sliding glass doors, old and dirty and very worn carpeting in the hallways, old furniture in the rooms. The water in the koi pond is so dirty that you can barely see the fish. The TVs are old clunky relics with fuzzy pictures on some channels. And for the $18 per day amenity fee, they don't even provide a beach/pool towel, but the wide selection of new-release DVDs was much appreciated. This hotel is in dire need of serious upgrading and maintenance. Remember, you get what you pay for.

The hotel really needs to be updated.

Posted Nov 17, 2014
Pros: Front desk and response to requests.
Cons: The whole place, physical appearance, quality of services!
Location: The location is great!
The hotel check in clerk was very accommodating and pleasant. We were told that our room was updated to a cottage. Cottage was awful. Asked to change to a room. Room was old looking, rusting walls, carpet smelly and old. Bed was ok but old. Towels looked used had to request for clean towels. Did not have a pleasant feeling of staying in the room. The overall look of the place is not "Kauai", welcoming! I was very disappointed. Nothing much to offer as far as dining or entertainment. It could be a really nice place to stay.
