Nice condo.....near airport and shopping

Posted Sep 7, 2014
Pros: Good location...I say central to all other towns
Location: Kmart, costco, beaches
Kauai is for people who like hiking and surfing. If u like to shop, this is not the place.

Good overnight hotel

Posted Aug 24, 2014
Pros: Close to airport and beach.
Cons: Cleaner, nicer bathrooms. Better air flow or quieter air conditioners.
Location: Our favorite beach (Kalapaki) is within walking distance along with the really great Barefoot Bar restaurant.
We used this hotel for one night before flying out. It's close to the airport, was reasonably priced and is within walking distance to beaches, shopping and dining. The room was huge with a nice, large kitchen. There was laundry, two bedrooms, and two full baths. It's very close to the Lihue airport. The rooms were a bit stuffy and hot with the air conditioner effective but loud (pick your poison). Check in ran about 15-20 minutes past the already late official check in time (4:00) since our room wasn't ready. Overall, a good place for a short stay.

Relaxing Stay

Posted Aug 19, 2014
Pros: It was convenient for a family. The parking was close to our room which was helpful for daily loading and unloading supplies and beach gear.
Cons: A spa would be great. It's one of few resorts without a spa, but the pool was heated.
Location: Easy walking to beach, restaurants, and some shopping. There was also costco and grocery shopping nearby.
Convenient location, nothing fancy: use of resort beach supplies and free movies was a bonus. The people were friendly and helpful. The facilities were average older condo, but it was fine. We had everything we needed.

Very nice, comfortable accommodations.

Posted Jun 29, 2014
Pros: It felt like home.
Cons: Parking could be improved.
Location: Within walking distance is Kalapaki Bay and many shopping venues and restaurants.
We were only there for one night prior to a timeshare stay at another resort, but we found the unit very pleasant, very comfortable, and very well maintained.

Loved it :-)

Posted Jun 24, 2014
Pros: The openness of the rooms with two balconies with a view of the ocean.
Cons: Our dryer was not working, but they were already aware of this and let us use their dryer when we wanted to and returned our stuff folded to our room.
Location: Loved JJ's Broiler across the street.
Way more then I was expecting. I was expecting a 400 sq. ft. two bed room condo with cheap furniture and it was not like that at all. Loved the open space of every room, the bamboo floors, two level town house, with a great view of the ocean and a small added convenience of borrowing a beach towel when ours were wet and we were to impatient to wait for our washer. So very glad we had the opportunity to stay at the Banyan Harbor Resort. Thank you for making our stay comfortable.

Way too many mosquitoes and an overall feeling of "Motel."

Comfortable resort in a great location.

Posted May 19, 2014
Had a great stay at Banyan Harbor resort; very roomy condos with nice furniture and a really convenient location close to Kalapaki beach and the Lihue airport. Pool was awesome as well. Wireless coverage could have been a little better, but overall I was very happy to have stayed there.

Don't stay in B-18!

Posted May 18, 2014
Pros: Arrived at night, left the next morning, no comment.
Cons: B-18!
Location: Excellent location across from Kalapaki Beach.
As usual, as an Expedia guest, we were given the worst unit in the building. All the condos are individually owned and the one we got had not been updated since it was built. Dated furniture, fake plastic flowers and cheap plastic decor covered every inch of the walls, shelving, and counter and tabletops. There was a tiny 19" TUBE TV in a seven-foot-long by seven-foot-high wicker "armoire". Guess what covered every inch of that thing? Cheap plastic dusty flowers. The carpet had not been cleaned in forever. The patio furniture had cushions that stunk - my clothes reeked of mildew smell when I stood up. We checked in late at night and the desk was closed. We stood in the rain for 10 minutes before "security" woke up and gave us a key. It was so late and we didn't want to wake him up again so we stayed. Housekeeping - excellent! The bed was clean, there were towels and supplies galore, even laundry soap to wash my mildew-y pants. I think all in all, Banyan Harbor is a decent resort, just don't let them stick you in B-18!

Convenience in Lihue

Posted May 8, 2014
Pros: The convenience, the pool and the staff
Cons: The couch was stiff and uncomfortable and the decor a little tired.
Location: You cano shop for souvenirs, groceries, jewellery clothe, restaurants and liquor right on your doorstep.
The hotel was well situated, lots of shops nearby however, I thought it was on the water. If you have trouble climbing stairs or walking up steep hills be sure to ask for a main floor unit. We did and even though the view wasn't the best we were grateful not to have to walk up the stairs or the steep hill. The staff were always pleasant and accommodating. The room was very nice and clean, the decor a little tired, and the couch was very stiff and uncomfortable. However it had everything you could ever want in the kitchen and the bedrooms were well equipped. All and all our stay was pleasant and if you want convenience as well a scenery just across the street then this would suit you! The pool area is incredible and overlooks the town and the ocean. You can see the cruise ships come in also which is something to see! Stacey

Only wish I could have stayed longer. I will be back. So relaxing, so safe, felt like home away from home.
