Kauii 2013 Thanksgiving

Posted Apr 2, 2014
Pros: Location, easy parking, and quiet
Cons: provide bike rentals
Location: beach, bike path, . Nearby beaches and Kapaa town. Hiking up to Sleeping Giant close and very cool.
Great location adjacent to Bike path and beach. Great place to hang out, cook meals and watch family movies at night.

Star don't care about you. Doesn't honor your request. It wasn't pleasant experience. On line they show their remodel rooms but you get older room that doesn't cost $275 that Expedia charges.

February stay

Posted Feb 17, 2014
Pros: Clean well stocked kitchen. We got a ground floor condo which was very convenient. Nice laundry. Beautiful grounds. Beautiful beach and walking path.
Cons: More comfortable furniture on the lanai. Ability to exchange bath towels for clean ones at any time.
Location: On the rainy side. It's a small island so you can drive to sun most of the time. Close to stores and restaurants.
We spent 8 nights. It was a very comfortable room with a very well stocked kitchen. The pool was immaculate. The staff was very pleasant. More comfortable furniture on the lanai would have been nice since most people spend so much time there. The beach was beautiful and very secluded. You couldn't swim in the ocean there due to the riptides but that was fine with us. It had a great walking path that could take you miles. It is on the more rainy side of the island which I wish we would've known. We did drive to find sun everyday but one and were able to lay at the pool right at the condo two days. It was in a very convenient location to the airport and town but was still very quiet. Beautiful grounds as well as a nice laundry facility.

Wonderful for a good holiday.

Pros: Location, unit condition, ambiance were all well above what I expected.
Cons: While this is out of control of the existing facility, the design of the main floor bathroom could only be reached by going through the main floor bed
Location: It was convenient to both the north and west side of the island and we loved Lydgate park. They provided nighttime security, so we felt safe.
The location of the Kahi Lani was great, the unit very comfortable and the staff very professional. This is the forth condo we have rented on Kauaii and for location, comfort and cost, this was the best. Thanks for a great week. .

Old and tired

Posted Jan 16, 2014
Pros: Overall external appearance, adjacent to the sea.
Cons: Modernise, new furniture. Owners of the unit skimped on everything hoping to maximize profits. Like add a second wine glass. Etc etc etc
Location: Have a car
The grounds are stunning. But the unit is old and tired. The outside of the old fridge is stained and almost rusted through. The seating is old bamboo with cushions which are uncomfortable, thin and slide everywhere. The kitchen would be perfect in a 1960's advertisement if it were new. No privacy in the bedrooms as the louvre windows are directly above (or below) the louvred windows of the other unit. They snore, you think its your partner. Whisper sweet endearments and they react. This is a major design fault which applies to every unit in the absense of air conditioning. No modern facilities. Perfect for deaf oldies.

Great condo, super quiet and relaxing

Posted Jan 6, 2014
We were to arrive in Kauai at 6pm, our flight was delayed and we arrived at 1:30am! I had called the front office to let them know. The security guard who normally gets off at midnight, stayed to let us into our condo! What a great start to our vacation! This condo was able to sleep 6 people comfortably. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes and cooking utensils. The condo is somewhat off the beaten path, away from town, and really quiet. Perfect if you're trying to get away from hustle and bustle. Note that if you book through expedia there are no housekeeping services. But, as a courtesy, the front desk will exchange your beach towels once a day.

Right next to the beach, no worries all week!

Pros: This condo property is located directly behind a state park that is on the beach. The state park has an extremely nice walking path and playground.
