Great new complex, high quality

We had a great stay at castle Kauai Kailani. We enjoyed staying there a lot. The only thing which was missing a bit was the air conditioning and some kitchen supplies, such as a toaster, perhaps an electric cettle or water filter. In general there were only few dishes. Yust enough for 3 people, so the dish washer was useless to us because we didnt want to switch it on only for 3 plates....

Großes Apartment, neu renoviert

Posted Oct 13, 2014 on Hotels.com

NO A/C! Other than that, it was okay.

Posted Oct 11, 2014
Pros: Clean, close to store, centrally located in Kapaa.
Cons: Get freakin' a/c OR AT LEAST make it crystal clear that you don't have it! The word 'rustic' does NOT equal 'no a/c'.
Location: Beaches everywhere!
Our flight was delayed 5 hrs due to a mechanical issue, so we unexpectedly arrived after dark. The front desk is NOT located on the property and is difficult to locate (NO signage at the property whatsoever). Also, the office closes (CLOSES!) at 9 pm. We finally found it at 8:30 pm. We would have had to either sleep in the car or find a last-second (and likely very expensive) room for the night. Once we hit the store for provisions and got back to the room, the door code the check-in person gave us didn't work. (we were tired and grumpy, some adult language was used). We had to drive back to the office, which is of course now CLOSED, and call the security number to get a new (and thankfully valid) door code. We then figure out the a/c situation. The room was roasting hot. Their website states "all the comforts of home". riiiight. They didn't even open the windows to air out the room for us!!! The only plus to our stay was that the place was very clean, including the grounds. HOWEVER...please note that housekeeping does NOT clean daily. They don't come AT ALL if your stay is less than 8 days. If you stay more than 7 days, they will come ONCE on day 4. (Be judicious with your towels, that's all I'm sayin') If you're okay about no a/c, and don't mind picking up after yourself (the dishwasher and stove don't help with the warmth issue, let me tell ya, and there's no toaster or toaster oven), this place is okay. Clean, Safeway right across the street, centrally located.

Pensarei duas vezes antes de repetir a experiência

Posted Sep 11, 2014 on Hotels.com

Thrifty and comfy

It was a great room with great beds and other furnishings. Good wifi. Good TV.Nice pool, but small. The floor in the kitchen and the living room was dirty when we checked in, and we have to pay extra for cleaning on check out. No daily service, no towels, nothing unless you stay for 7 days or more. No beach access. Good mid location between North and South points of island interest. Very nice people. They took quick action to unplug the backed up pipes on our second morning.

Very nice place

Posted Aug 29, 2014 on Hotels.com
The hotel is very close to downtown Kapaa. Their is still plenty of resturants to eat at around. The condominium is newly renovated with brand new appliances. The downfall for those who can't deal with the heat is that there is no air condition. There is also no washing machines in the room. However, the people who run the place has other properties nearby and will not make it accommodating for individuals who is staying in Kauai Kailani to use the guest laundry, ( which is located next to the office where you check in. I had issues finding to office to check in; it is located a block down the street. When you see a yellow building when your close, go east or make the turn opposit the shopping center. Room service also only comes once every four days, but your still charged a $65 fee for room service when you check out.

Nice room, poor amenities

Posted Jul 12, 2014
There was no ac, the internet was horrible. The pool wasn't open at a consistent time. There's no such thing as a garden view only a pool view. We ate in as much as possible for the 3 of us and there was only a 4 piece set, which meant doing dishes every day. Also, I didn't know before hand there would be a $60 cleaning fee since we stayed a week $30 if you stayed less than 4 days. If I would've known about the cleaning fee, I would've stayed elsewhere. Not happy, will not stay there again.

Close to everything

Our room was newly renovated and was really nice! No A/C but the breeze was awesome! We just opened the windows and balcony doors. There are screens on all the windows. Super clean and very nice appliances and dishes to use. We used the pool, while small, it was empty most if the time. Safeway, Starbucks and an ABC store are right across the street! The only drawback was the street noise and wifi was not consistent.
