Everything is ok but there is no food, they dont offer you not even a little sanwich or one of those hawain niclets or flowers something that it make you feel that you just arrived to Hawai; we got there late night hungry n we have to sleep hungry till next day, it wasnt nice cos a little restaurant will be nice or vending machine with food not only drinks; for first timers is frustated:

Just OK "POOL" is not on grounds & not near ocean!

Posted Jun 29, 2014
Pros: Location and Employees
Cons: POOL
Location: Beaches, Shopping, Dining.
Our unit was a bit older but nice, a bit musty to start but got better as we stayed there. The location is great with access to everything around. Biggest problem is the lack of a pool on the grounds. I would not stay here again because of the lack of a pool on the grounds. If that is not important to you then a good place to stay.

Felt ripped off...

Posted Jun 25, 2014
Pros: Poipu Beach
Cons: Update rooms to meet a minimum standard. If not, do a price adjustment for those stuck with disgusting rooms. Better hours at club. Friendlier staff.
So I'm pretty sure I got the absolute worse room available and because I didn't know that each room was different, I didn't complain. I thought all the rooms were old and in need of updating. Even when I went into the bathroom and saw the paint bubbling, about to peel, tiles cracked and this MAJORLY GROSS BLACK SPOT on the corner of the wall that LOOKED LIKE MOLD, I didn't complain. I guess I should have because that's the only way to get a descent room because apparently, there are nice updated rooms. I also didn't appreciate that the hours for the fitness center and spa were ridiculously short and I would imagine did not work for most people. Maid service was ok, but the girls working the front desk were were not friendly nor helpful. The only thing that saves this place is it's location because Poipu Beach is a nice beach.

Condo on Kauai

Posted Jun 10, 2014
Pros: We loved the location of our condo, the grounds and the newness of the furniture.
Cons: When paying extra for a beach view, please tell perspective visitors that you may not actually have a beach view. No airconditioning, no washer/dryer
Location: Beach was less than a minutes walk, resturant was a 5 minute walk, shopping center was a 10 minute walk. Our tour bus picked us up at condo entrance,
Our condo was very nice with nice furniture. There is no air conditioning and there is no washing machine/dryer in the unit. We were told and we paid for a condo on the beach. We were very close but our unit had no actual beach view, although in less than a minute we were at the beach. Parking was a bit of a problem. We were told to keep our condo parking pass on our dashboard, which we did. However when we came back after an outing we did not have parking outside our unit and when we looked at the cars parked there, several did not have parking passes. We got fresh towels every day which was really nice. Our bed was very comfortable. We could walk easily to the condo restaurant and to Poipu shopping, which was very nice. The grounds are amazing with birds and amazing flowers. Our condo was a bit run down with the bathroom needing the most repair especially in the shower.

Quiet complex with Beautiful grounds

Posted May 5, 2014
Pros: the staff was very professional yet friendly and willing to help in any way
Cons: nothing
Location: we liked that shopping lunch, dinner and breakfast options were so close. The complex was very quiet and very pleasant
We had a pleasant time and it was wonderful to have the beach hut so accessible

Not lavish but nice. Two things should be noted. You don't have your own separate bungalow. It's more like a two story apartment complex. The other thing is that there is a $70 room cleaning fee that they hit you with that should be clearly disclosed.

Beautiful 2 bed/2 bath unit

Posted Apr 22, 2014
Pros: The quality and the amenities.
Cons: I would recommend a queen bed in the second bedroom.
Location: Beach is a very close walk, and Poipu shopping center is across the street. There is a Starbucks in the shopping center, and Puka Dog!
Unfortunately we only stayed one night (our last night) at this beautiful resort. 4 adults and one child (4 y/o) stayed in a beautiful 2 bedroom/2 bathroom, 2 story unit. The bedrooms and bathrooms were on the first level, and the living room (sofa sleeper for 4 y/o), kitchen, and dining areas were on the second floor. Each floor had a private lanai with beach views. master bedroom had king bed and private bath. No bath tubs, just showers. Second bedroom had 2 twin beds (not ideal, but my 60 y/o parents were ok with that for the one night). The unit was updated with beautiful floors and nice furniture and amenities. The kitchen was fully stocked with anything you would need for cooking. There was even a downstairs closet full of beach supplies: mats, chairs, boogie boards, snorkel gear. Very cool. We stayed in Princeville resort for the week, and would have loved this beach gear! I didn't realize when I booked this unit just how big it would be! We would have loved to spend more time here. They have a nice pool with a waterslide...big hit for my 4 y/o. Only downfall is the pool is across the street...better to drive to then walk. Overall, very nice resort, and probably better for children then the previous Princeville resort that we were at for the week (Wyndham Ka 'Eo Kai). We would definitely stay at Castle Kiahuna Plantation again!

Spring Break 2014

Posted Apr 9, 2014
Cons: There is a $70 cleaning fee that was not included in the packet. They call it the deep clean because of the sand etc...
This was a great family getaway for the first visit to a Hawaiin Island. The room had everything we needed for the family including a full kitchen, which made breakfast and lunch easier.
