Excellent place to stay.

Beautiful and spacious condo. The best beach on the island by far. Easy access to shopping and golf if that's your thing. A lot of food options close by. It was a great choice to stay here.

Quiet hotel

Posted Dec 11, 2014
Pros: Location near the beach, but quiet.
Cons: We stayed one night and had an additional cleaning fee. I gather this requirement was because they probably wanted a 2 night stay.
Location: We wanted to be in Poipu, Go to the Spouting horn and Old Koloa town
Staff was quick, responsive and we were in our room seamlessly. Room was a bit small but tastefully decorated. We liked it.

Pros: Quiet and comfortable. Close to most everything on South Shore.
Cons: Place needs to be updated. Particularly the bathrooms.
Location: Close to everything... restaurants, beach, shopping and activities. Most in walking distance.
The unit we were given was the furthest possible from the beach on the third floor. I'm pretty sure the resort was not full. One packet of coffee and one filter.... had to purchase any additional. Shower and tub needed updating... door and fixtures rusty. Mattress sagged in middle. Otherwise, nicely furnished and comfortable. Daily limited maid service. Good beach and beach services. Excellent staff. Not a terrible place, but needs some work.

Castle Kiahuna Plantation and Beach Bungalows

Posted Dec 8, 2014
Pros: The Island orientation.
Cons: Cleanliness Chlorine levels Rooms need renovating
Location: Beach and shops are great. A friendly community.
Do not believe the pictures on the website as that is not what you will receive. Our room was dirty, all carpets extremely stained, the fridge was rusty, the bed and sofa bed very old and lumpy. You also have ro pay a cleaning fee upon checkout but the cleanliness is not there upon arrival. There were spider webs in each corner of the living room area filled with bugs. The pool and hot tub were over chlorinated and you had to walk quite far, 3 blocks, across a very busy road to get there. No swimming past 6 because there are no lights at the pool or on the long secluded walk back. We went to the island orientation and the chirs had bird poop on them. Cleanliness is not a priority here. I would not recommend staying here. This a very large resort that takes in a lot of guests but customer service and cleanliness seem to be a low priority.

It's on a great property but bad room condition

Posted Dec 4, 2014
The property at this resort is beautiful and it has really nice gardens, but the room condition was very poor we did not like the old carpet, the worn out coach, the mustiness of the bathroom, the stinky tile and we even found a cockroach in the kitchen crawling around.

Good place, close to beach and shopping

Posted Nov 29, 2014
Pros: The grounds were excellent and the room nice and airy.
Cons: My daughter got sick in the car and I went to the front desk to request a bucket and some cleaner, they couldn't provide us with anything..
Location: Poipu shopping village near by, close to beach.
I was concerned when we arrived because I assumed there was air conditioning at the Castle Kiahuna Plantation. As it turned out, the temperatures were great and the room was designed for maximum air flow with plenty of fans so we were never uncomfortable. Don't expect the room maid's to "clean" the room. they basically empty the trash, provide fresh towels and make the bed(s). The grounds were beautiful, kept up nicely and the Poipu shopping village is walking distance from the Plantation. The spa and pool are also located across the street. We snorkeled every day, I would recommend snorkeling at Koloa Landing, we saw Sea Turtles and many colorful fish. Pros: Nice part of the island with a good beach front. Laid back atmosphere. Accommodating staff. The on site dinner restaurant is excellent.
Cons: Noise from the adjacent hotel's construction and some traffic noise at the rear of the complex.
The 'third bed" a roll out couch in our one bedroom unit wasn't really serviceable. I just used the couch as a couch to sleep. The rooms' finishes were first class.

Nettes Ambiente mit schönem Hotelstrand

Posted Nov 23, 2014
!! Wenige Touristen.
