Not expecting much but got less

Posted Feb 26, 2015
This hotel is in need of major renovation. Everything is old and appears to be pieced together. We only wanted to use it as a stopping point before boarding a flight back to the mainland but it was still a let down. The door to our room was falling off the hinges, the rooms have no TV, phone, or hairdryer. All rooms are two twin beds. Paint peeling everywhere. It is a very nice ocean front lot but they should tear down the old hotel and build something new.

Beautiful location

Posted Feb 26, 2015
Pros: The housekeeping supervisor Gloria is a jewel; give her a raise!
Cons: WIFI
Not totally enamored with the hotel when we arrived, but grew to love it. Twin beds throughout the establishment, no TV in the rooms, no AC and spotty WIFI. Didn't miss the TV or the AC because the climate is so temperate. WIFI got a bit better after several patrons complained. Cannot beat the location; pool, on the beach, beautiful palm trees, pool, shuffleboard and clean grill to cook your dinner.

Stay here to save some money not impress your gal.

Posted Feb 19, 2015
Pros: The inexpensive price. And free parking.
Cons: Signage for easier location from the road leading us to the hotel. Although once you find it you'll know where it is and it's not difficult to locate.
Location: We especially liked the location because if was close to Safeway and eateries and shopping.
Ok, so IF and only IF you are a person (or couple) that is looking for a real deal on a place to stay on Kauai "on the cheap" this is it....great price for rooms, so you'll have more money to spend on other things on the island. No resort pomp and circumstance here! Bare bones basic for a place to get rested and cleaned up to go out for the day exploring paradise and then return to after a long day. Super quiet! I believe ALL of the rooms have sliding doors that open up to a pleasant Palm tree courtyard that overlooks the amazing and relaxing ocean! Beds were comfortable, room service everyday (if you want) that will come and change your bed linens and make sure you are stocked up on toilet paper and empty your trash.....but that's about it. Just the basics but, I expected as much for the price we were paying (Which was all we needed) No microwave, no TV (which is fine) and no phone (which is fine) Wireless signal could be much stronger, that would have been nice...overall this place is not for everyone but for the hardy few who just need a place to call home on Kauai for a short time and not break the bank, this will do. But for those looking for the "Resort Experience" this isn't it.

needs to be up dated

Posted Feb 19, 2015
Pros: the ocean view
Cons: rooms with tv
Location: location was prefect; walking disticted and lots to do.
The room and view was excellent. The stuff friendly and room stayed clean. However, rooms needs to be up dated and tv in the rooms.

Descent / inexpensive place to stay

Posted Feb 12, 2015
This is a descent place to stay as long as you know that you get what you pay for! We stayed here for two nights after arriving late on our flight (around midnight) and needed a close-by place to stay for two nights before doing some camping. Clean, basic accommodations (that have definitely not been updated recently!), and actually a surprisingly nice location on the beach in Kapa'a. It could actually be quite nice if they fixed up the rooms! If you're looking for somewhere fancy, this isn't the place for you, but if you're looking for an inexpensive hotel option in Kauai, this works fine.

Good cheap place to stay

Posted Feb 10, 2015
this wasa perfect place to crash while we were exploring Kauai. The fixtures are dated and the rooms are a bit worn but clean. The price can't be beat and if you don't mind being off the grid (no tv, unreliable wifi connection) then this is a safe bet. Safeway, food land, Longs drugs, coffee shops and budget friendly restaurants all nearby...

景色はいい しかし・・・

Posted Feb 7, 2015
Pros:

Very basic

Posted Feb 5, 2015
Pros: The location right on the ocean and super convenient to restaurants and other stores.
Cons: For us, a microwave. Kitchenette implies more than a frig and a sink.
Location: Every type of store is within walking distance as are several good restaurants. It is sort of equal distance from the north and the cayon.
The hotel was veey clean, convenient and right on the ocean. Parking is free as is wifi, but that comes and goes. There is no a/c, but we never needed it. What we really missed was a microwave. We did not miss a TV--if we had a free moment we watched the waves coming into shore. It is a great value for the money. The units are quite small.

Nice location

Posted Feb 5, 2015
Pros: The outdoor facilities
Cons: The miserable wireless internet connection
Well maintained pool, nice sunbaithing area, attentive roommaids, the furniture showed wear and tear
