Very nice hotel

Posted Jun 27, 2015
First of all when you walk into the hotel you getting a sweeping view of the ocean and lush greenery. It's a high class resort. The property is huge. The pool and lagoon area probably one of the biggest I have ever seen at a hotel. Got lost initially. Kids would love it. They also have a salt lagoon. Tide pools restaurant is amazing. We had a romantic night there, wife and I after we got married. The rooms are laid out perfect. Spacious and luxury. The toilets come with a rear cleaner which I had never tried before. Amazing treatment here. Also the breakfast buffet cost 64 bucks for 2 adt people. It was good. Parking is free which is good compared to Oahu hotels. This is probably one of the nicer hotels I stayed at. No would recommend this hotel.

プールが沢山ありベビーから大人まて満足できる。ウォシュレットあり。ゲストランドリー無料。バスタブなく、残念。 朝だけスタバがあり簡単に済ませられる。 カウアイ最高!

Beautiful Hotel - room was just average

Posted Jun 8, 2015
Pros: The Pool and lagoon were very nice.
Cons: The beds were hard and the small little pillows were not comfortable at all.
Location: Good location but the beach is not a swimming beach.
We went to Kauai after visiting the Big Island and we were very excited to stay at the Grand Hyatt and based on the price thought this resort was going to be much nicer than where we stayed in Waikoloa. It was nice but for the price was not a great value. It was our 10 year anniversary and we had an upgraded Club room but still were not able to get a top floor room for some reason. The first room we received had an ocean view but the door leading to the balcony did not slide correctly. We called the front desk and asked if they could grease the door and when we returned the maintenance people had removed the entire glass wall and it was in the floor, with a smell of chemicals we asked for another room. They gave us the room right next door which was ok but we would have preferred a higher level room. Just overall disappointing that for such a special occasion we really didn't feel taken care of like we did on the big island.

Has best restaurant on island!

Posted Jun 4, 2015
From start to finish hotel was amazing! The grounds of the hotel are awesome and pool is great. The salt water lagoon was our favorite, huge and without all the people. The tidepools restaurant is one of the best on the island. The beach is shipwreck beach, (a lot of locals) beach is for more experienced swimmers, body boarders and surfers. Hotel has nice cabanas on beach for rent. A large 4 person $150/day and small two person for $85/day. Hotel is huge and is about a 10 min walk from end to end.

Beautiful hotel on the beach.

10 year anniversary trip to this beautiful hotel. Staff were amazing . The club level is worth the extra cost. Expect children at this hotel. We were traveling without our children and were surprised at how many families with young children were also staying here.

Beautiful hotel with a private beach

Posted May 27, 2015
Fantastic!! But the foods do not match the reputation. The buffet breakfast is great (though it costs $70 for 2 every morning but it is worth it) but the other restaurants have rooms for improvement!! The friendly staffs and beautiful surroundings compensate the so so foods I guess !!!
