“What makes a hotel great”
During our stay at the hotel. We were promised a complementary breakfast, however we had to pay for our breakfast. We were given lack of information upon check in. We did not find out until we checked out that a microwave was available on on the fifth floor of the hotel, and we stayed on the first floor on the opposite side of the hotel. THere was valet parking at the hotel that was 15.95. We chose to self park at the end of our stay we ended up paying 12.95 to self make and the parking was a mile away from the hotel. This hotel was very disappointing.
“Nice resort close to the airport”
Proximity to the airport was a definite plus point. It is an older establishment, but well maintained. Food in the restaurants was expensive and the quality of the buffet breakfast was not worth the price. The parking lots were empty and I see no reason for the hotel to charge $13 per day parking fee for self-parking ! Expedia needs to talk them out of it. BATHROOMS REQUIRE EXHAUST FANS ! Overall, we were quite satisfied.
“Wonderful place in a wonderful Island”
Stay was before and after week of time share. Was excited to go back . Staff great and resort awesome.
“Great Fun”
This resort wont disappoint , although you are going to want a rental car to visit the many close sights!
“great service, everyone very friendly”
the pillows were awful
“good deal”
great for the price
“Kauai - beautiful, friendly paradise”
The resort was wonderful..friendly, helpful staff in all services. The view was fantastic! The grounds groomed daily. Picture prefect in all directions. We had great food and service in all of the resturants at the resort. Interesting entertainment and artists. Quiet atmosphere but appeared to be fun for children too. Was good location to get to either side of the island..Definitly would go again and take more friends and family!
“Already planning next trip!”
My husband and I just returned from our Kauai trip and it was amazing! It was our first vacation together, without kids, in many years...like a second honeymoon! Kauai Beach Resort was superb! It was more fantastic than we imagined! Very comfortable, clean rooms, friendly & helpful service, and super clean grounds! We booked a mountain view room, but were upgraded to a pool-view room, with an amazing ocean view! The pools and hot-tubs were wonderful. Never too crowded, & were quiet. They close all the pools at 10:00 pm, which is a bit early, but not a big deal. The pool in the front has a waterslide, which we had fun on too. There is a sand-bottom pool near the beach, which is a nice idea but the sand in it is rough on feet. The beach is nice for strolling, especially towards the north. The pool-side bar was great! Their Mai Tai's were good and cheap during happy hour and a nice menu for appetizers. The "Shutters" restaurant was also really good. Nice variety on menu if you wanted to stay at hotel and relax, & reasonable prices. Huge portions. Pizza, burgers, salads, etc. all delicious. The other restaurant was expensive so we avoided it. Check-in and check-out was a breeze. And the front desk employees were always friendly and helpful. The huge open-air lobby is very inviting and beautiful. The location was perfect. In the middle of north and south bound drives around the island. Close to shops and restaurants. Will stay here again for sure! Already planning our return trip!
“Kauai Beach”
Very nice staff. Could have been better maintained.
“It met our needs delightfully”
It met our needs for the afternoon between our previous checkout and the time of our evening flight. It was a lovely setting
