“Best deal on Kauai, hands down!”

Had a 5 hour delay getting from Denver to Lihue but the hotel experience was a totally great experience. The night office person stayed until 11:00 waiting for us and talked us into the motel via cell phone as the signs on the road ways were less than desirable. (not the hotels fault). The room was clean, the continental breakfast was great, and the location of the hotel was perfect. I would stay there again. We came to relax and the area was perfect for relaxation.

Tucked away from the main highway and down in a little valley, this hotel was a real treat. The room was big,clean and comfortable. The grounds pleasant and quiet with a great view of the mountains wgich were close by. We felt like we were in the country away from the usual hustle and bustle of larger hotels. The staff was friendly and accomodating. We were close to all of our activities including a variety of places to eat. The money we saved by choosing this hotel allowed us to spend a ton more on fun activities and the morning breakfast around the courtyard allowed us to share activities and stories with other guests. Wound not consider staying anywhere else.

We spent two wonderful nights there, convenient location, plenty of parking, free continental breakfast every morning, quiet neighborhood, room was quiet couldn't hear neighbors. Pleasant staff. We will be back

“Very nice little place to stay !!!!”

If your looking for a clean, friendly place to stay that is not expensive, this is the place ! This was my second trip to Kauai. The first trip I stayed in one of the well known chains, which was nice, but I wanted to spend my money on something other than an expensive hotel. Even though it is close to the ocean, there is no beach view. But, You have a spectacular view of mountains that is really nice to see every day. The staff was friendly and they have a couple of resident pets a cat and a dog. The cat was very friendly and followed us to our room whenever we would return. The room was clean and satisfactory. No bugs, or other issues. I would absolutely stay here again !

“Exellent place. Would stay again and recommend.”

I was a little bit distracted in the beginning by driving through the ship docks. But the hotel is actually located in a very nice and cozy valley. The customer service was very friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast was always fresh and big enough to keep going till the lunch time. The room was very clean and neat. I enjoyed very much my stay there. I would definitely come again.

“Convenient location”

The Kauai Inn was nestled near beautiful hills, and was a place of comfort and rest. The Kauai Inn staff was friendly, welcoming, and very helpful. Breakfast was served at 8:15 each morning with lots of varieties of fresh fruit, breads (whole wheat, fruit and nut breads, bagels, english muffins), juice, coffee, & tea. Our room was very clean and the bed very comfortable. The 2 large wall mirrors, and mirrors on the sliding doors of the large closet made already spacious room seem even larger. We appreciated the refrigerator, microwave, table for two, large tub and separate shower. The bathroom had too many windows, but if we kept them closed, we had privacy.

Great place! It feels almost like home away from home. Great service, towels, beach mats, free breakfast with lots of fruit. This hotel is not for people who are looking for a resort but for the active ones who are looking for activities beyond the beach.

Love the service and hospitality of the staff. Has a great view. Location is great and less touristy than up north. Highly recommend it if you are an economical traveler.

“Excellent Local Hotel”

We made the Kauai Inn the base of our exploration of the island. Our first night was excellent: we were checked in by one of the extremely friendly owners, given a clean, nicely furnished room, and provided with a good breakfast the next morning that included plenty of fresh fruit. We then left for two nights at a large resort before coming back to the Kauai Inn. Upon our return, we were given a much poorer room, with stained carpet, a screen door that wouldn't close, and a heavily scratched mirror. The woman working that night was unable to figure out the computer system and give us a different room. However, the owners' daughter-in-law was at the desk the next morning and moved us to a more recently renovated room with no problem. The rest of our stay was very enjoyable, although the breakfast patio was usually too crowded for us to eat our meal outside and it would have been nice if the laundry facilities were open later. We recommend the Kauai Inn to anyone looking for a comfortable, clean, and friendly place to stay at a reasonable price in a fairly central location on Kauai (and right down the road from the beautiful Nawiliwili Beach).
