Only if necessary....Posted Feb 20, 2015
Pros: It was clean.
Cons: Air conditioning units were very noisy.
Location: It was close to the Marriott Beach Club where we were going to stay for the rest of our vacation.
The Kauai Inn is an old motel that is showing its age. We would use it again only if we couldn't fine another place on Kauai.

Good place to stay:Posted Feb 13, 2015
Pros: It was clean and had a modest breakfast and friendly staff and nice grounds. The room was small but very adequate for our 2 days' stay.
Location: Not a great location. There is a shopping center with restaurants a mile or so away and activities to sign up for (helicopter tours, snorkeling, etc)
The only negative is the location. It is not easy to find, and is not close to anything. It is near the industrial area but is surrounded by homes, so is very quiet.

Nice and convenient.Posted Feb 8, 2015
Pros: Laid back atmosphere and great hospitality.
Cons: Rooms could use a little updating.
Booked the hotel for the day as our flight out was a late departure. Staff was awesome and location is very convenient to several great restaurants and only 7-8 minutes from the airport.

Nice Inn Close to Kalapaki BeachPosted Feb 7, 2015
Pros: Kaua'i Inn is close to Lihue and the rates are reasonable.
Location: The Inn is not on the beach, but you don't pay beach-front rates. Kaua'i is a small island and everything is within easy driving distance.
We have stayed at the Kaua'i Inn many times and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff.

Nice hotel with "family" feel to itPosted Feb 5, 2015
Pros: The friendliness and efforts of the staff
Cons: Some sort of noise-dampening would help, for the chicken and roosters. Otherwise pretty quiet area. There were some tiny ants running around the room.
Location: Close to Lihue, airport...
Enjoyed staying here. The staff goes out of their way to make the stay as pleasant as possible and it makes for a very friendly atmosphere. The common/pool area is very nice. The downside of Kaua'i are the ubiquitous chicken, and when they start making noise at 2am, the slat-panel windows are no help (although they indeed help with the breeze). There were some tiny ants running around the room, but they seemed harmless and we didn't seem to bring any home. Our room was sort of at the corner end and the wi-fi signal was very weak. Worked well in the the common area though.

OK for a short stay but not for vacationPosted Feb 4, 2015
On the island for a quick business trip of a day so stayed here to avoid the hassle of the resorts. This is a simple hotel, basically in a neighborhood of homes. you'll drive past the industrial area of the harbor to stay there. Pretty simple hotel with nice staff, I would not suggest it for vacationers but good for biz travelers looking to keep it simple and quick. If you've come all this way to Kauai, enjoy other spots.

Calm and very friendly InnPosted Feb 2, 2015
The Kauai Inn is the Inn, Kauaians book for their visiting familiy members! It's in a very quiet area, easy to reach. Rooms are very clean and with Hawaiian decor. Staff is very friendly. They offer Toast and fresh cut fruits for Breakfast, as well as coffee and tea, cool water and juices. They offer excellent value for money.

Pros: Quiet. Nice staff.
Location: Somewhat difficult to find. Good beach nearby.
Very nice helpful staff. Good price for a room. Roosters are everywhere. But that's typical of the whole island.
