“Looking forward to taking another vacation there”
This was a vacatoin to remember we didnt worry about nothing we went thier to get away from the rat race we live in we got that. This island was probably the most laid back place we've ever been. We will go back and do some of the other things we didnt get to this time. People of the resort were very friendly and the thing I like was no bugs and chickens were fun to watch. Can't wait till we save money and do it again
“Beautiful hotel but lousy parking situation”
The hotel was absolutely beautiful and the quality of the room was unmatched for any Marriott that I have previously stayed in, however, the layout made for a long walk with heavy luggage between the car & the room.
“Exeellant Hotel”
Nice hotel. Conveniently located.
“Ready to go back!”
We went to Kauai to get married and spend our honeymoon there. We loved staying at the Kauai Marriott Resort and would love to spend more time there! The staff was great and the rooms very clean. We fell in love with how soft the bed was! I told them we were getting married and honeymooning and they put us on a ground floor room by the pool and within walking distance of the beach/cove -- a great room. We enjoyed waking up and having coffee on the porch while reading and watching the day begin. The only downside to the room is the AC. It felt 'damp' most of the time and the AC didn't seem to cool off enough. It was still comfortable but not as cool as we would have liked. The other thing is that if you have a later flight out of Kauai and you choose to take the 'extended day' -- they charge a $75 rate and move you to another room. It would've been nice to simply stay in that room and not have to worry about packing...moving...then unpacking again... But we had a wonderful time and if we don't rent a place next time, we'll definitely consider staying here again!
“Am excited to go back.”
The hotel was amazing. Everyone was so nice.
“Fabulous beach and pool”
Resort living with hotel prices. Amazing location with great amenities.
“Will definitely return!”
Will definitely return. We have a timeshare in Kapaa but after staying here we will try to rent the timeshare next year and stay at the Marriott. Great amenities and beautiful views.
“Kaua'i1104”
The only issue with this hotel was the Valet parking. you would think at a 5 star hotel that they will automatically take your bags and not ask if you need help. What person coming to a hotel from a flight does not need help to their room, especially when its a resort and a large one. The other issues with the Conceierge desk, she had no clue what there was to do out of the hotel, she kept on trying to get us to stay in the resort when we asked what there was to do out of the resort area. We looked at the local magazines and found activities to do on our own. The hotel is in a great area and only 5 minutes from the airport and very close to waterfalls, hiking up mountains, seeing dry caves and wet caves and beaches along the route too. We will be going back to this island but a different hotel. It is not as large as it appears in the photos and only 2 restaurants on site. The pool is very nice to look at but only 4feet deep all the way around.
“Will definetely be back!”
This hotel is situated on the the best beach in Kauai for swiming, surfing, paddle boarding, kayaking, playing with the kids, or just plain relaxing in one of the numerous lounge chairs. Unfortunately it is not so good for snorkeling because the sand is powder soft and the soft waves mix to form "chocolate" water. The pool is awsome, best customer service ever from the pool side waitresses. Decent prices at all the restaurants, especially Dukes with $3 fish tacos on Tuesdays, make sure to take advantage of happy hour. Excellent food and service at all the restaurants. The hotel is situated in Lihue, we never seemed to notice the airport being 1 mile away. It's location is protected in a cove so it's sheltered from wind and large waves. In Lihue there is a Walmart and other popular convenience stores for shoping for items accidently forgotten or lost. Don't waste your money on the valet parking at the hotel, seemed like people had to wait a long time for their cars when the regular parking lot is super close, maybe seconds to walk to. The pool is very big and like I said there is plenty of chairs to choose from to lounge in. Wasn't impressed with our room view though. We got the "garden view" which was a view of the rooftop, and mostly walls from the rest of the building. But we didn't spend much time in the room anyways. Everything was clean including the grout in the shower (seems to be moldy in most places). Will return, but will get a water view next time.
“"Can't wait to go back"”
Kauai is a beautiful place to vacation and the Kauai Marriott Resort makes it that much better. You will not be disappointed.
