Will not returnPosted Jul 23, 2015
Pros: Airport pickup was fast and easy. The beds were comfortable and the location.
Cons: Cleanliness of the facility. First floor of the tower we stayed in smelled like dirty old socks. Room service.
Location: There are multiple eating options within walking distance. Bamboo's had great banana pancakes and french toast! Half the cost of eating at the hotel
Pickup from the air port was great, fast and easy. Check-in at the hotel was okay, though they overwhelm you with so much information very fast. Also charged a $30 resort fee per-day for the use of I-Net, Parking a car(if you have one or not), and few other things you may not even use. The first room they sent us to had wet floors (carpet was totally soaked) so we had to call down and ask for a different room. We had a bit of a miscommunication over the phone as they tried to send us to our new room. We waited at the old room for the new room keys only to find out about 15-20 minutes later that we had to drag our bags up to the new room and meet them there. Then in the new room, the facet leaked when you used it soaking the counter. Now we didn't want to complain anymore so we let it be and just put a new towel around it each day to soak up the water. If we didn't it would get items on the counter wet. The pool while, large and decent was very dirty. The entire 8 days there vs. some other places we stayed, no one was cleaning up the pool. As you swim in the water you could see band-aids, hair, general dirt and sand, peoples empty cups (which we took out of the pool and tossed) and other junk etc... We also felt the room service was poor. They would often forget to restock or change out items in the room. For example, restock the coffee, clean drinking glasses, clean the shower (started to mold), or clean out the ice bucket.

Great stay at the Marriott.Posted Jul 23, 2015
This was our second time at this location. It is centrally located to most things on the island. The pool is great and it is not hard to find chairs throughout the day. The restaurants on the grounds are really good, especially Duke's. The grounds are beautiful and everything is so well maintained. Kalapaki Beach Hut is walking distance from the hotel and has excellent burgers and shaved ice. Their is great snorkeling at Poipu beach and the ATV tour at Kipu Ranch is awesome. Also Koloa zipline is a blast. We had a great stay at the Marriott and love the Island of Kauai.

Love this resort!!!Posted Jul 16, 2015
Cons: Pull out couch should be a foam one.
Beautiful resort, right on great beach, perfect for stand up paddling, snorkeling and swimming. Love the gorgeous grounds, meticulously groomed! Staff was very gracious and kind. Loved the room, the pull out couch was pretty rough, though…. Pool was fabulous. The swim up jacuzzis were fabulous! The shuttle to the airport was quick, efficient, and had a private road to the airport. Took only 8 minutes! Ditch the rental car and stay the last few days at the Marriott for a true relaxing experience. Can't wait to come back to the Marriott, Nawiliwili!

Peaceful and QuietPosted Jul 14, 2015
Pros: Just about everything.
Cons: The maps that are provided by the hotel are not as easy to read and interpret as possible.
Location: With an auto I had access to the entire island. I was close to auto rental and airport, making my arrival and departure simple and time efficient
There was really nothing at all negative about my stay. I went to the pool, the beach, my car, my room and to various restaurants with ease. I had a great time. Everything I wished to do was most accessible.

Family Vacation 2015Posted Jul 13, 2015
Great hotel location! The hotel has beautiful decor and architecture throughout. The pond at the lobby and the pool are vey well designed and built. The food is pricy but good. The hotel staff was friendly until they were not. They kicked us out of our room early our last day there. The hotel operator called us thirty minutes early to tell us that cleaning personnel were waiting and we had to leave immediately or be charged for another day. Also, my wife's bathing suit was stolen from our room and the staff seemed not to care or offer any other assistance than calling the lost and found for us. I hope that management digs in on their Customer Service issues. I will not stay here again.

Great service but in need of some repairsPosted Jun 24, 2015
The staff was very friendly and the grounds themselves were beautiful. The location is great. The hotel is right on the beach. The pool was absolutely amazing. The only drawback was the condition of the hotel. The hallways and rooms were in need of a paint job. If you aren't that picky, this is definitely something you could ignore, though. The grounds make up for it.
