“Basic but well maintained.”

Although this is an older facility, it is well maintained and comfortable. For the money, it served my purposes very well. Easy access to beach and local restaurants, but the on-site restaurant was closed. Desk personnel very helpful and friendly.

Hotel is worn and need of some routine maintance. It is very clean and the grounds are manicured. All employees are very courteous and helpful. Resturant has very good food and is reasonably priced. We reccomend this hotel and will stay there again

“A Great Value”

This hotel has a great location and is walking distance to the Coconut Marketplace which offers a variety of shops and other activities. There is a very nice beach that is about a 100 yards from the furthest building. The staff is very friendly and helpful. If want to a more quiet stay choose the superior rooms.

“Great place for the money”

My husband and i have stayed at Kauai Sands for the second time now and will continue to stay with them any time we return to kauai. The hotel is very simple, you get what you pay for. We stay in room 202 and the view is awesome! Our room was always clean and the staff was very friendly and accomodating. Great location right next to the coconut marketplace, I highly reccomend to anybody staying on the island to rent a car, there are so many great beaches to explore! Anini beach was my favorite. All in all if you're looking for the four star resort experience, dont stay here. However if you're like us and all you require is a clean room to sleep and shower, then theres no better place for the money than Kauai Sands.

“great location!”

good value for the price...outdated but comfortable...best thing about this hotel is the location. it is right on the beach, although not good for swimming because it is too rough. But still nice to be oceanfront. The location is great. We had activities on both sides of the island and this was right in the middle, so we didn't have to drive too far to either side. The hotel was probably great in its day, but now outdated. As long as you expect that it is ok. The rooms were clean and the air conditioner worked well. I think all rooms have balconies, and ours had an ocean view which was nice. Not all have ocean view, some view the pool or parking lot. I would definitely recommened to friends. We didn't spend much time in the room, mainly just for sleeping after busy days sightseeing and activities. Definitely a great price for a hotel on Kauai!!!!

“Kapaa's Secret”

The staff was friendly, the rooms were clean, grounds were beautiful, hotel is a bit older, but beds were comfortable, our stay was enjoyable. Luxurious, no, comfort and relaxing, we give it a 10,although the restaurant hours were limited, the food and service was great, located right on the beach and next to a shopping mall, what more can you ask for? We think it is the best kept secret in all Kauai, we plan to visit there again and would definitely reccommend it.

I got to say, the only reason I stayed at this hotel is because it was the cheapest on the island and we needed a place to stay for 1 night. I got to say, the staff was extremely nice, the bed was comfortable, their pool was really nice, and their beach was amazing! I do think the hotel could use some upgrades, but honestly it really didn't bother me at all. I was so happy to be in Hawaii I didn't care! I was actually thinking about saving some money and staying there the next time we go to hawaii. It makes a nice home base while you visit the rest of the island etc..

“Taking Care of Customer”

The front desk staff were very friendly and took care of me while I was ill. The location of the hotel was on the beach and near shops, stores and restaurants, yet off the main, busy road.

The service was down home and friendly. The hotel itself was old and outdated.l But comfortable and clean. Everyone of my requests were met with satisfaction. The view from my room was amazing. Having found this hotel makes coming back every two years to paradise extremely attainable.
