Peaceful retreat

Kauai Shore was wonderful. Very peaceful and right on the beach! The staff was always nice. It was a great hotel for the price. I enjoyed every minute of my stay!

Budget hotel

Posted Oct 2, 2014
Good location next to beach and shops. Disappointed that our bed was not fixed for two days until we asked. Attended the 24hr reception at 9pm and requested to extend our stay- we were told to do it online or return the following day. We suggest to lower your expectations and you will be fine.

Great location, good price, but....

For the resort fee, breakfast is a joke. Bananas and donuts with coffee. It's mostly empty depending who beat you to breakfast. 1st room had roaches, moved to 2nd room upstairs with ants. Room was clean enough discounting insects. Facility was nice, location is central. Good for the price.

Beautiful place for family get away

It's a beautiful place for a family get away. Newly renovate excellent room. Fast wifi excess. Beach right behind the hotel. Swimming pools is well taken care. I would strongly recommend this hotel.

The hotel was close to town & extreme beach front

Great Location, Will be even better once all the hotel amenities are complete. Staff were great, friendly. Rooms were big, with OK bathrooms, Air-Con needs updating but overall it was a good property.

Affordable, simple hotel.

Used to be the older Kauai Sands. Now it's sold and corporate run. It's a simple hotel similar to an Inn. The rooms underwent a simple rennovation, nothing fancy or upscale. Just new paint and updated furniture. Same feel as the older Kauai Sands with updated amenities. The lobby and front desk need to be renovated! It hasn't changed in 10 years. No restaurant or dining or room service. It's just a simple Inn. Don't expect fancy. Stay here if you plan to do alot of activities and don't plan to lounge at the hotel. Stay here if you only need a place to sleep at night.

Very clean, bright rooms. Hotel has 2 small but nice pools. It's right on the beach. Perfect. But no bar service & no lobby etc. it's really a motel.

Good Value For The Cost

Posted Sep 4, 2014
Pros: Comfortable, clean, and staff is friendly.
Cons: Continental breakfast, hot tub would be nice, and free parking.
Location: Kayak Kauai was nearby, hiking, restaurants/bars.
I enjoyed my stay here, would return again. Friendly staff, clean, comfortable, and spacious rooms.
