Upscale boutique resort

Posted Apr 29, 2015
We had just come from a week on Maui with our kids and needed a relaxing week to ourselves. Koa Kea was laid back with full service and amenities. The beach was great, the pool was very nice and the staff was friendly, and efficient.

Wonderful restful boutique Hotel

Posted Apr 25, 2015
Pros: Modern clean ambiance, great staff, quiet and restful. Very clean and fresh all the time.
Location: Great beach for snorkeling and surfing, walk to Brennecke's and other shops. Almost always sunny at Poipu.
We have stayed at the larger resort hotels, and have grown tired of the crowds and noise. Not so at the Koa Kea, it was the perfect size, right on the beach, and the staff make you feel like it's your home. The Sea Salt restaurant is the best in the area by far. We will stay here again.

Very close to nice beach

Clean and nice room in a small hotel with very good location and close to a nice and quiet beach. Very helpful staff. Dated furniture. Hotel provided one 12oz bottle water per day for two persons! Would not give move even requested because staff are told not to give more than one bottle.

静かで落ち着いたムードの小振りな大人のリゾート

Posted Apr 21, 2015
Pros:

Peaceful and perfect

Posted Apr 13, 2015
Pros: Pool area, beach access, cleanliness, polite staff, good food.
Cons: Pricing of food and drinks are high, we bought items off site for a lot less. Gym could be brought up to date.
Location: Good location...anywhere in Kauai is great since the island is small
Everyone one was very polite and helpful. The valets are the greatest I've come across. They asked what we were doing and where we were going in order to offer very helpful ideas. The hotel is between 2 populated resorts but still keeps a quiet, high end atmosphere. I would not stay at one of the chain hotels where all the sheep stay after visiting Koa Kea. This is a perfect small hotel that is close to shops and steps from gorgeous beaches. We used it as a home base to explore the beautiful island. We will definitely recommend.

Outstanding boutique hotel.

This is a refurbished hotel and what it is now is a perfect small high quality hotel. Attention to every matter and more than anything most of the staff are genuinely friendly. There was only one person that was not and that was Sharn at the Pool rental place. Great food, great position and not over the top. We would definitely go back.

Quiet boutique hotel on Poipu Beach

Posted Mar 22, 2015
Pros: We liked the location, restaurant, the size, and the staff.
Cons: Our bed was okay, but could use a new mattress.
Location: There are two shopping plazas close by, and many great restaurants. Spouting Horn is a short drive away. Lots of surfing & snorkeling opportunity.
The Koa Kea has a great location right on Poipu Beach, and is close to shopping and restaurants. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We ate well there. The Red Salt Restaurant is excellent. The continental breakfast is very good and a great value. It has a nice fitness center and spa. The rooms are a little small and dark, but adequate. We liked that it's a small, boutique hotel and the staff remembers your name and are eager to please.
