"Nice hotel, location and staff"
We have stayed at this hotel many times. We find the staff to be very helpful, they correct any mistakes immediately, and the rooms are clean and well-kept. They did some small construction while we were there, they waived the fees for the resort for those days, and offered to give us a different room.

"Perfect Location, Excellent Beach"
Me and my wife stayed at the Sheraton Kauai Resort for our honeymoon the first week in August. This hotel truly has it all. The beach was perfect and you can swim and play all day. The pool and amenities are great too. The majority of the lounge chairs face the beach so there isn't really a bad view from anywhere. Lavas by the pool was great for drinks and lunch as well. A little expensive but worth it. Our room faced the ocean and was air conditioned which made it perfect. One recommendation on top of this hotel, is get a rental car. You can come and go as you please and truly experience the beauty of the island of Kauai.

"Excellent place to stay and relax"
Aston Waimea Plantation Cottages is a step back in time. If your looking for a resort/spa this is not the place to stay. These cottages were used by sugar cane workers in the late 1800 to early 1900's. Each cottage is unique. Kitchens have stove, frig and microwave. Plus all the small kitchen appliances, dishes, pots, pans and silverware. All you need to bring is food. It's a great place to relax at the end of the day of sightseeing. Wal-mart is close to the airport. They have most of your needs. But they don't have produce or meat. These you can by at the local grocery stores. There is a Costco. If your a Costco member. Gas is about 30 cents cheaper at Costco. There is two grocery stores in Waimea. The grounds are well kept with lots of trees. We read a few reviews regarding the chickens and the crowing. Yes, there's chickens with a few roosters crowing.

"Reasonably priced and very friendly staff!"
This hotel is very reasonably priced in comparison with others on Kauai. The hotel itself is a little run down, some paint missing here and there and furniture appears quite old and rugged looking, but if you're on a budget looking for somewhere decent to stay, this place is wonderful! The staff was extremely friendly and we never had a problem once. We must have lost our room keys over 10 times and they never gave us an issue and were very helpful. The pool and Jacuzzi were wonderful to have and I loved the man made pond located steps away from the hotel out in the ocean on a nice beach. It allows for great snorkling opportunites with lots of fish to see and a great swimming spot free of waves and any others hazards. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and I would definitely go back there.
