DisappointingPosted Dec 2, 2013
Paid extra for an ocean view and was told by the girl at the check-in counter "if you can walk out on your deck and see the water, that's considered an ocean view". My view was of the parking lot, and a tiny piece of ocean if you stood on your tippy toes. Not exactly what I had in mind. Disappointed with the unwillingness of the staff to help resolve my issue with the room. Didn't fly all the way to Hawaii to look at the parking lot. Would never stay here again.

Beware! This is not a four star resort!Posted Mar 31, 2013 on Hotels.com
The hotel is a combination of hotel and timeshare, emphasis on timeshare. The design has too many buildings tightly clustered around the central swimming pools, and the noise of the children in the pools is much amplified by the design. The hotel room we had was tucked into a corner of two buildings, with no balcony and especially noisy. There is little space on what appears to be a man-made beach or anywhere else on the property to relax quietly. There are no restaurants on property, other than a grill at the very crowded beach bar. We found the wait staff discourteous and very slow. If you're looking for a quiet relaxing stay on a gorgeous beach, this is not the resort for you.

The Best Pools and Grounds In Southern KauaiPosted Jul 11, 2012 on Hotels.com
This is a time share property with only 7 non time share hotel rooms. During our stay we were never treated any different or even asked to join the time share program. We visited most of the other hotels in the area to just see if we had made the correct choice in hotels. This place blew every hotel away, even the 4 star hotels in the area. Great beach, pools, grounds, location, pool side bar, and rooms.

Vacation in KauaiPosted Apr 27, 2012
Pros: Quiet Pool Area
Cons: Roosters and lack of good places to eat
We arrived on the property approx. 1:30 and we were not able to check in until 4:00 p.m. The desk was ver busy and there was always a wait either on phone or in person. The food facilities were just OK. The roosters crowing were very annoying!!!!!!!

Waiohai, KauaiPosted Apr 1, 2012
Pros: Location of condo, beach, pool. All there together.
Cons: Roosters outside every morning at 4:30. It's Kauai though!
Location: Best set-up for families.
Second time there...love it so much! It's the most relaxing vacation for the whole family. Can't wait to go again!

Nice placePosted Dec 10, 2004
This Marriott was very nice. Helpful staff. Lots of amenities. Right across the street are several good restaurants and shops. Lots of families stayed here. Everyone was very friendly. Our room was clean and quiet. We recommend this hotel and would definitely come back here again to stay.
